    This is pretty solid advice Scooby. As an example, I often get asked "tech" questions from the older folks in the family about technical problems with their computers etc. The only different thing I do is that I know what to type into google to get a useful answer. I think that's essentially the same principle as what you describe. Extract successful answers with successful questions for successful results.

  • @DeanstuD
    @DeanstuD Před 3 lety +1

    Just like he says! I bulked up to 700lbs by going to Mc D's at least equivalent to 3x a day!
    I stopped going to McDs and started eating healthier, moving my body, staying hydrated, 'working out' I am now half the man I used to be @ 340lbs.
    No keto,or other unique diet. Honestly just ate less of the same crap foods at first just less!
    1 pizza vs the usual 2. Oh, and I outlawed McD's specifically symbolically I guess, as I had hurt myself there the most.
    Just now realizing while typing this, that the availability of a McD's on every military base I went to was maybe too convenient. Though fully physically capable and passing all PT tests, I was Honorably discharged for being 'too fat to serve' at 6'4" 225. I kept that label and mindset of injustice.
    25 years later, at 700lbs of failure, Cannabis was legalized. Since I had been simply sitting in my dining room, on a van bench seat waiting to die, I tried it. I enjoyed it. I had never done such things! I was scared! I asked the right question when I asked for Jesus help in this unknown forbidden realm. I started listening to audio Bible on kindle, and lifting water jugs and lamp stands as a weight set on my bed. As I kept listening, and simulating workouts on my bed every Mon. Wed. Fri. (religiously ;):) I started becoming more interested in health and eating better. When I started to be involved in cooking my own food, I found Uncle Scoob when I was learning about 100% whole wheat bread. Flip it over!
    Long ago, I had been an aircraft mechanic and crewmember on EC130Q in the Navy, and I was interested in seeing Scoob build his plane. He was speaking truth in the videos that I had seen, so I stuck around. Ha, I used to think he was taking so long I Just might be skinny before he finished and maybe get a ride in the thing! Well, I could have worked harder and been leaner by now, but I did not make it a goal. I 'just' very ever so soft and gently, set a goal of physically being 'able' to do anything a friend asked of me by the time I am 62. You see, at 45 I was trapped on that van seat, pissing in bottles, barely able to get to the bathroom down the hall. Not such a small goal afterall I suppose.
    Ugh I typed all this TMI out, because lately when McD's comes up, I post something like "I lost over 350 lbs since I stopped going to McD's". People invariably want more info. Uncle Scoob made 3 direct hits

    Ask a little deeper. If the first question is “how do I gain muscle naturally the fastest way possible?” then consider the underlying question, which may be “how do I become healthy so that I may live a long and high quality life?” or, “how do I increase my muscle mass to impress other people and flatter my ego?” There is always a deeper question if you search for it.

    6:40 I would add, it's a workout program you can access easily and consistently. In this pandemic, all the home workout people didn't have to change anything. Those who depended on going to a gym and the camaraderie that goes with that for their motivation were thrown for a loop. Here in the Northwest, we got shut out of public spaces, which totally upset my usual summer routine. If consistency is key, make your workout routine pandemic proof. It's hard to depend on other people. Dankeschon Scooby!

    I like your ideas but no need to pick peoples words apart. You know what they're asking. Cut the intellectual flexing and answer their question. I think you should work on your somewhat convoluted "jump through my hoops" style of replying. Great vids either way, just playing devils advocate here
