@@InvestmentInsightsTamil I don't view Options has gambling because I understand how to use it. In fact it is safer bet to do Options trading but one needs to understand ins and outs of it. Strategies with discipline can provide consistent results. But not for everybody. I have encountered folks who are bright in software Engineering but cannot grasp some simple trading strategies. imo.. entire investor crowd is taking a gamble by investing SPY, QQQ with no protection when the market goes down. Options are essential tools.

Sir let us assume that I sell a cash secured put option for apple at first $170 when the current apple price is $178 for an expiration date of oct 30. Now assuming that on oct 20 the stock price goes to $160 but again bounces back to $180 by Oct 30 (expiration date). In this scenario will the action be taken as per the stock price on expiration date or during the run up to the expiration date.
The option buyer has the right to exercise the option anytime before the expiration. They might choose to exercise when the price hits 160, or they might choose to wait till the expiry date. So yeah, you might get the shares assigned before the expiration.

Yet another learning for me is that this is just betting and no actual transfer of shares happen (correct me if this understanding is wrong).
Well, if you are in money after the option expiration date, you will take the delivery of the shares.
If you can explain how to use this options to hedge our portfolio, it'll be very helpful sir. This is something we can't learn somewhere😬😬😬

@@InvestmentInsightsTamil How does Market participant decides the value ? Black Scholes is model is a good guide. Remaining time and Volatility decides the time value. Underlying stock movements determines the Intrinsic value.
