- It wouldn't be my channel if there wasn't a halloween edition of Doing Something Stupid. I read the entirety of the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs in 24 hours and (as we've already seen) I'm terrible at staying up late. Literally everything that could've possible wrong went wrong with this challenge so that was fun. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed filming. What do you guys think of the Miss Peregrine series? Am I the only one who really struggled with the time jump elements or does everyone else have brain cells?

Just finished book five so I’m kind of binging book reviews for the series before I dive into the sixth. Definitely one of the best and most intriguing series I’ve ever read.
I respect people who can read that fast, I used to be able to do that.. then I turned 17 and started working. Now I read less at home and try to find free time at work instead and on weekends if I’m not seeing family. Book three is still my favorite even after finishing book five, the plot definitely kicks up and really hits a peak there that the next two don’t quite hit. They are still brilliant in their own way but across the whole ongoing story they feel like a cool down, or slowing down on a roller coaster ( which is great when your like me and actually have chest pains from anxiety from all the suspense and action 😂). Hoping the last book ends with a bang.
Just finished book 4 and 5 in preparation for the 6th book and the 5th book was definitely the best one in comparison to the 1st one. Even some of the lines in this book are pretty exceptional and the part where they were about to take on the wights was so sad, as you don’t usually get that side of miss peregrine. Cliffhanger at the end sucked lol.
I want to ask a question. I live in Turkey and I don't have the 5th and 6th books of the series yet. Is there a continuation of the series? Will there be a 7th book?
How do You read so fast??? This is My favourite series (besides Song of Ice and Fire) and O enjoy every book of it, I really liked your video

There is a 7th book, a spin off though. Tales of the Peculiar, edited by Millard Nullings. There will also be another spin off in October, Miss Perergines Museum of Wonders.
CAN’T BELIEVE that you haven’t watched Parent Trap before- glad that you enjoyed it though! I haven’t yet read Miss Peregrine’s yet but perhaps in the future I will pick it up x

Could the lack of photos in book 4 be because it’s a different edition? Not sure when you bought it but it could be a rerelease or different print to the other books
Potentially, I feel like it should’ve still had them coz they’re advertised as these unique books with photos in them

I’ve been reading every single book for a week at least😂 The writing is pretty weak. I hate that in every single book Jacob is lost somewhere, then he is suddenly found and everyone behaves like they did not see him for years, when it was only 1 or 2 days

I hated that series
i feel like the series' ending didn't do all the other books justice. like they set up some grand prophecy and most of the kids in it just fucking died. i thought miss p's ward were the peculiars mentioned in it (yes i know there's ten of them)
Yeah I feel like the books just got gradually worse
@@apaigeinthechapter i feel so dumb i didn't see your reply til now 💀 but yeah they definitely did. the later books do have their own merits, but were def a bit lacklustre compared to the first three. ransom could've stopped at a map of days (did enjoy getting to see a bit more of the peculiar world though, esp peculiar america)
Can someone explain this plothole in book 1, please🙏? How was Jacob's uncle able to send Emma a letter from 1960 back to the loop of 1943??? I could not figure this out from the book. Thank you!!!
Maybe in 60's children had apportunity to go out from the Loop to get letters?
I think Emma would just go to the present to quickly get the mail
