imho this song is about loving somebody that is such an influential person in your life and then that person starts having mental health problems and how they try to cope with it. I think of my mom every time i hear this song. She is in a better place now.

I don't know what Damien is talking about here; this is my go-to version of Cloudy Shoes; I think it sounds much more earnest without the effects and backing; especially the ending. Although I agree that it can never be loud enough - I'll shake the whole house with those "Still trying to fix my mind"s at the end. Everytime.
