my 7 month old is showing an interest in climbing, she likes to pull herself up on things
Thank you for this !! So many benefits!!
Your welcome!!
Hi Rachel, love this video, thanks! Have you considered doing a ‘what I’m getting my kids for Christmas’ video? Or some sort of gift guide? Would love some inspiration!
I've been going back and forth on it this year honestly! I really want to, but don't know if I'll have the time... We moved out of our house a couple months go to get it ready to sell (why I'm in two locations in these videos, as we stay at our in laws before moving across the state where we have like 3 more moves in a 4 month span haha). So it really just depends on time...
With that said, last years gift guides cover everything I'd recommend for under 4 year olds, and this page www.theconfusedmillennial.com/toys/ has a tonnnn of my top toy recs. I'm also going to do a mini gift guide with a curated selection for a brand coming out next week so there will definitely be top picks, but right now I don't even know if we'll be getting the kids anything more than like 1 toy each since we are moving so often these next few months.
Great video, thank you! Love those storage baskets too - where are those from? Love how you have a river flowing right behind your home - amazing!
Awe thank you! That was actually my in-laws house we were living at for a little while selling our home!
Im not sure which baskets, but all our neutral seagrass baskets are from IKEA and then pretty much any other basket (woven more yarn like) are Target always!
great video thanks
Best video of tingles❤
Thank you!
Another pro to a climbing arch is that it can double as a play gym to hang toys from during the newborn phase and then transition to a climbing arch for balance and pulling to stand as the baby gets older.
Ahh yes! You can do this with a Pikler too in most cases as well! Really all the benefits of a pikler I think apply to a climbing arch too i think
I purchased the pikler triangle from HomeforDreams based on a video you made last year and could not be more thrilled with the purchase! We gave it to my daughter when she was 11 months old and it took until she was about 18 months old for her to be really into it. Now, at 21 months old, she plays with it daily. She loves climbing it, hanging from underneath it, sliding down it, etc. We live in SWFL where it can be unbearably humid and hot most days, so it's been a great item to have where she can still get a lot of energy out without us having to sweat it out at a playground. I also love that this one is taller and will suit her for a bit longer than smaller versions.
Awe I'm SO happy to hear that!! The quality has been awesome and held up perfectly for both of our kids too. Where in SWFL are you?? Hope y'all faired well in the hurricane
@@theconfusedmom I live in Venice. We got a little banged up, but know it could have been much worse. We were blessed and have friends who lost a lot more than us. It was my first major hurricane and I can honestly say I was not a fan haha.
@@crowatheart Yeah that was honestly the biggest one I can recall so far south in a very long time, possibly since I was a kid... A lot of people we know family's lost everything. Happy you guys made it through pretty well though!
Play wilder all the way❤️👏🏼
Hi, curious if you remember how much your pikler cost when you purchased? Looks like Home 4 Dreams aren't selling through Etsy anymore and only through their website with super high shipping fees, and I'm trying to figure out if the overall cost is reasonable. Thanks!
Oh gosh i don't rememeber, sorry! It's been like 5+ years lol
My almost one year old loves climbing on everything. He's so big though 25lbs and 99% on height... Maxing out his 18 month old clothes. Do you have any recommendations on how long kids can use this by height of the kid
No but we’ve had 8 year olds on ours haha so the taller the better!
Mine works too. I used the Woodglut plans and performed it without any problems.
Talk to me about arms and legs getting stuck between the rungs & them falling. 🫶🏽
I've never heard of kids arms or legs getting stuck in the rungs so I can't speak to it... i even searched high and low online and couldn't find that as a complaint. I'm sure it's possible but the spacing of it makes it very difficult. And yes, I did talk about safety needing supervision because they are children and falls happen everywhere.
