- a brief walk-through of the all-new Expedition 500 trailer from Tribe Trailers. this brand new camping, overlanding, and expedition trailer comes equipped with everything you need for off-road overland camping. with the all-new lowering and lifting body technology this offroad, overland, camper is ready for anything you can throw at it! air ride suspension makes this trailer tow like a dream! if you are looking for a new camping offroad trailer look no further!
I've been eyeing this for awhile. It's an awesome concept but I think it'd benefit a lot from removing the indoor kitchen and dinette, making it a dry bath on one side, and possibly just a small couch along the other side. For us the indoor kitchen would never get used and wet baths are a no go. Also optioning in a cinderella toilet would be gamechanging!
Drink every time he says “a ton”. 😂
It's like a Trail Manor hard side pop up but for the overlanding world. Very cool.
thank you!
I would remove the indoor kitchen to give it more room (quite possibly lessen the cost), use a wraparound awning, have a flat top grill, a single burner stove attached, a sink (for the outdoor kitchen) and a separate fridge and freezer and no black water tank. Other than that, it's pretty nice! 🤙👍
So awesome! Saw it in person had to check it out again
so glad you love it!
I would love to see this in a tandem air ride independent suspension, 4 season, no black tank, 100gal fresh water, heating and ac, completely off grid capable with solar and lithium 1000ah. cover the 3 mountain bikes that are riding upfront. Also need a gun safe that can hold at least 4 long guns. Make this happen and you got a customer... And a lot more customers if you keep it under $95k
Would be cool to get more info about how the roof lifts/what keeps the walls air tight so that dusty, bugs, and cold air dosnt come in
Impressive - good luck with your future endeavours, I think you've got the right design philosophy. Our trailers here in South Africa don't have the "cold" requirements you guys need over there, but the principles of your design philosophy lends itself to a very compact - and possibly low weight if your M.O.C. selection and "equipment inclusions" are looked at more critically - final product.
You will always get different needs from different customers - one of the reasons why the Conqueror range of off-road trailers (originally from South Africa) have progressed into quite a few different models overseas - the key is to understand the median needs of your intended customer base and act upon it.
This dude mustache really knows how to sell a ton of trailers!
This dude has a mustache that makes me want to buy an Expedition 500!
that's what I'm talking about!
Drinking game for this video: "Ton"
Yes!
As well as as well as
Love it!
This would also be an awesome design to be fitted to a flatbed truck camper!
Ton of feature inside, ton of room inside, ton of thing underneath! So far seems I need at least a 4 ton truck with 30% margin to tow this massive “ton”
That Suspension must be rated for Mega Butt TONs, gonna need an F750 to pull all those TONs.
AMERICA. MAKE IT HEAVIER AND EXPENSIVER LIKE THE WOMAN.
Great product!, just needs a few tweaks and you'll be on the money! good luck
put a cassette toilet, a DO35 hitch, a cook partner stove outside, a truma fridge, 12 volt ac, a 270 awning and change the green color on the cushions. and you'll have an even more badass trailer! I love it! I wonder what the height is at its lowest with airbags down low.
yeah the green needs to go. its like a 80s cafe theme
@@1111111111202 lol
Love the ideas, thank you very much!
@@semorebutts3613 i have the trailer with around 15 psi sitting at 7 feet right now!
@@TribeOverlandTrailers oh that’s perfect I have a carport 89 inches tall
Looks heavy with all that tonnage
You will need multiple tons of cash to even look at it. Tons!
You'd be surprised, MSRP should be right around $55,000
Just wondering why the "camp side" is on the left and not right?
So I was looking at the Kimberley Karavan because of the pop up feature and compactness so was pretty intrigued by a a less expensive/more locally sourced one.
Bit bummed there is a black tank, composting toilet would be more interesting to me. I do wish you had awning / external expansion stuff, or if you do needed to see it. personally would prefer a place to put two people in an attached tent similar to what the Karavan has or like the Patriot X series.
I second the D035 hitch request.
love these ideas thank you so much! I
also love a composting toilet!
Composting toilet would be a great option to offer. Prefer no black water tank.
I had to check out because too many tons the suspension won't hold it all. It's like saying a huge 1 cubic foot refrigerator with a ton of capacity ....... yes but ....
Two kitchens ? That’s one way to raise the price !
Let me tell you something I was so impressed with that trailer. It’s beautiful and has everything unbelievable beautiful, but how much is a price for one of those?
MSRP at the moment is 55 thousand, call us now because those prices will not last!
"HUGE"!! Thats enough
What's the UVW/CCC with all those TONs that are included?
UVW is 3600lbs
Do you have a video of it off roading? I’m in the market of an off grid camper set up. Going on a Mexico trip next year for a whole year. Need one to be durable and to take the abuse of dirt and mud and rocks.
yes sir check our website Tribetrailers.com!
How does this sleep 4 people comfortably?? Looks like 2 adults and a child MAX. It's still a very cool trailer though!!
Hello dear friends Yes made overseas or maybe in USA 🇺🇸
China
The bottom needs to be weather sealed to make it 4 season.
I'm not a foodie but many people might appreciate a 2nd burner on the range.
Is there any wood used in the construction?
Is it called the Expedition or Expeditionist (I see both names on it)?
Insulation type and R value?
You're better off building it yourself and saving 30k. Way over priced for what it is. There's a lot of DIY videos out there that will help someone out. Even if you didn't have all the equipment it would still be a lot less. I'm building my own right now and am only at 3k with buying everything new including the axles, I do have tires and rims though. The r value is equivalent to a 1inch piece of plywood covered in fiberglass I'm sure to cut down on the weight.
@@brandonke690 not quite sure where you got that information, plywood has an R rating of 1.25 per inch, where we have an R rating of 6.25.... regardless we always love people building their own rigs! is there anywhere we can check out this trailer you are building?
@@TribeOverlandTrailersyoull probably see it in 10 years
Is there an option for a 12 volt fridge?
It comes pre-wired with a 12 outlet but we do not offer a fridge
Price?
Is there an air conditioning option for this rig?
He says it has AC.. she showed the ports for air but did not see where the AC is
Are you 100% sure that this rig is under 95" 8 foot garage height?
yes sir!
With all those “tons” of space, . . . how much does this thing way?
Where’s your URL?
only 3600 pounds! check us out at TribeTrailers.com new website soft launched today so please forgive some of the bugs!
Is this company based out of AZ?
manufacturing based out of Arizona, back offices based out of California!
How is tongue weight and towing stability affected when all those water tanks in the rear are full? They seem like they’ll be the first thing to hit a rock the way they stick down so far.
the freshwater is in the front of the trailer, the rear, and middle tanks are gray and black. no issues with towing at all!
Price???
right around 55k 😯
A ton of ton lol.
There is absolutely no way in hell this thing is only 55K. You guys could easily sell them for 65K judging by the current market. I say increase the price, get your bag tribe
Im sure theyve done their research when pricing this. Maybe donate 10k when you go to buy yours
My last HOUSE cost less than $65k.
That's embarrassing.
ton, ton, ton... ton of BS. Fits in a garage? What garage? Your website does not specify the height. Jeez, dude. Back up your mumblings with facts.
Did you count how many times he said "ton" boys and girls?
o me god trlalala:)))
