- Hey everybody, I'm back from my year long hiatus - apologies. This morning we are fishing one of my favourite local fishing spots in Brisbane. It's a beautiful morning with glassed out conditions - hopefully the fish are biting!

Nice. I fish the same groines at Brighton, but rather than cast straight out front I cast to 3 o'clock, then 1, then 11 and then 9. Covers all the water out there. Love those double clutches, but the Nomad Designs Mini Squidtrex (75 and 65mm have been my lure of choice lately as Flatties love them. The Zman StreakZ Curly Tailz (4") have been the soft plastic of choice of late.
Good to see you back again Jason. Bay has been a bit quiet lately. I was out early yesterday on the Hornibrook Platform at low tide but scored a doughnut. Looks like I should have given the gutters at Brighton a go after the tide came in

Was this friday or saturday morning? I found both morning a bit quiet around shorncliffe.....also that spot is awesome for topwater whiting on the first half of the run in, so much fun

@@ImJasonFish i fished the rock wall next to the big jetty at shorncliffe, been getting some nice flatty there. I use sugapens and splash prawns for the whiting, they always seem to be ravenous around those brighton flats, they attack the lures like crazy, i also got a 49cm gt there last weekend on 6lb, that was a fight i'll remember for a while, its a good spot for sure

I was there today, couldn't even pick up a whiting. 1 legal bream and that was it...
Unlucky mate. Unfortunately, that's fishing. I've been to that same spot countless times and gotten donuts. At least you caught a bream! Thanks for the fishing update. Cheers 👍
Love your vids, after watching headed out yesterday and picked up a couple flatties on the Daiwa double clutch in your fav colour, and another on a plastic. Just moved to the area from Canberra, if you ever want a companion hit me up, would love to meet some new people here!
Edit: In fact I am headed out tonight, one rod with bait and one flicking plastics and hard body diving and surface lures for bream and flathead and whatever else might be about, if you looking for a last minute Easter Sunday night fish, high tide just before midnight and not much off a full moon

Hey man love your videos and always picking up your tips witch is very helpful btw👌 by chance would you have any tips for either side of woody point jetty I know there's flathead to be caught and big ones to lot of life either side just been on a big doughnut streak. Also a vid there would be great see if your skills tempt the flatties.

I usually just catch bream on bait there. How long do you run your leader Jason?
Hey mate, I see a lot of bream standing on the groynes, some big ones as well. You should try fishing there at night time with bait, some good bream to be caught.
I run my fluorocarbon leading around 2m or two double arm lengths. Hope this helps 👍
