no. the market of 3d printing is huge, and it is only going to get bigger especially because its new in India, and we love to create and innovate things. To focus on only supplying filaments is a futile monopoly to try to achieve, which any big brand can come in and completely take away. HP printers did this, with their ink cartridges and yes they were successful for a while but now nobody buys their crap and what they did is largely considered quite a big scam.
the pens will lets kids play with it and introduce them into the 3d printing world.
the 3d printers will satisfy the amateur, enthusiast and industrial markets.
3d-printing for those who don't want to buy the entire printer but still want custom-spec 3d parts without the hassle of learning all about them is another big market.
and the backbone is supported by their filaments.
this is a good way for them to do their business. don't know why they were being coerced into going into one direction or other.
