  • Day 2 of The 2023 Japan Judo Camp & Tour
Practice with Asahi Dojo & Keio University. Asahi Dojo is one of the best Dojos in Japan, and Keio University is one of the top (smartest) Universities in Japan.
The 12-day trip immerses participants in Japanese culture, with fully guided tours to Tokyo's most iconic sightseeing destinations. The Judo camp & tour provides world-class instruction at four of the top university Judo teams and two private dojos, including the renowned KODOKAN Institute. Participants can build friendships with Judoka from around the world while experiencing elite-level training programs. The previous trips in 2017 and 2018 were a huge success, and participants gained a deeper understanding of Judo's rich history and culture.

Every Sensei teaching in this class not only shows their mastery of Judo but just how brilliant they are at teaching Judo particularly the manner in which they explain and impart their knowledge, what a privilege and a memory to be treasured forever!

I had the pleasure of meeting some of your students at the Kodokan during summer training. I knew that name on their gi sounded familiar😹

It's so amazing how they break it down here. I really want to try this class actually. Wow in Japan, such a large dojo, it's beautiful. Japanese take all martial arts training and actually many normal day things very seriously to perfect their art/craft. I admire the Japanese people.

I love the judo gi with gripping sections to help teach. Does anyone else do this? Or have a guide with how they like to teach with it?

I think he misunderstood the question, but now I’m curious. What is the daily routine like of the judoka in these japanese judo universities?

If I ever get into Judo I will prepare myself to be thrown to the floor over and over and over again.
