Thanks for commenting. I have always ordered them, but this is first time I have been handed one by Hans. I am glad I was at Hamvention this year. 73 de Bill

Good luck to you both with your builds. I'm looking at getting one of these for my first ventures into HF. I'm strictly DMR atm. Subcribed ;)

Thanks for answering a question of mine with this video. The front knob and button board has a spot for a mic to be used for future development but the QRPLabs website has no case hole for the electret element. Your does have that hole in just the right spot, above and to the left of the right side button. Can’t wait for that firmware.

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! You’re the first person to mention that. Yes, the hole, the mic, and the place for the mic on the board are there. I, also, can’t wait. We will chat later, lol. 73 de Bill

Planning to order this kit too.

Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment. I have always enjoyed his kits. I am taking a guess you will like this kit if you like kits. All the surface-mount stuff is done already in the manufacture of the pcb. The rest of the components are doable depending on one's skill and the day. It's a tight fit, but that's the fun and awesomeness of the mini series. Hope to see you back. 73 de Bill

I'm interested in reading the Operating Manual prior to purchase. It is available?

Hi. Thanks for stopping by. Yes. The manual and documentation are all available. Start here: www.qrp-labs.com/qmx.html
Scroll down the page to the documentation section. QRP-Labs, Hahns, is known for excellent documentation and detailed information. I hope this points you in the right direction. If not, let me know, and I will look further. 73 de Bill

@@Bill-HRT I enjoyed reading the article with the history (pedigree) of the QMX. But, I did not find the operating manual in the Documentation section. The history is so interesting that I want to support this awesome creativity. My only fear of the QRP is using earphones. I have a TR-25, and when a super loud station comes in my head explodes! For this reason, I was looking to see if the new radio will have AGC already installed. I noticed that it is not an option. Also, there is an antenna option offered, but I have no idea how it would be used with the radio. It is an option, so not required, but I wondered if it should be ordered to enhance the usability of the radio. Enough of my typing. Thank you.

@@o2bnov0307I attended Four Days in May, the QRP forum adjacent to the Dayton Hamvention. The radio was announced there. The information shared stated that it handles the AGC with onboard components. I understand it’s done digitally, but don’t have the exact wording from the proceedings documents in front of me.

You're right. It's not there. Sorry for the mis-direction. Sometimes his operating manual is at the end of the assembly, but not this time. I am sure it is coming. Might be the case that it is so new, he hasn't finished it yet. Not sure about AGC, but did you notice the mic in the kit, the space on the board for the mic, and the hole in the case????

@@Bill-HRT I did not notice it on the board, but I read about this as a future possibility. That would be an awesome firmware update. I'm afraid that I would need to send the unit back to the factory to have the SSB added. That would be seriously beyond my ability
