    Hi David,
I really enjoyed hearing your take on this, and it mirrors my own. I was thrilled with this reissue. I recall seeing them live and you described the experience perfectly. Good job on the video!

I saw Tull in 1973 Montreal totally agree live amazing . As for Ap reissue’s in my opinion all are solid.

The limitations of studio's and equipment of the time plus the current way things sounded on recordings then. Almost all gear is tube, multitracking was limited. Albums just a few years before in rock & roll were recorded in mono. Plus all the panning, intentional distortion. Extreme stereo separation, wall of sound and over modulation of the tapes was common. Pleased this album percolated up so many good memories. Unfortunately you did not shoot out with the MFSL version in the mix. Thanks again.

Thanks I never was able to obtain the MFSL version. When/If I do I will be sure to do such a shootout :)

I don't have the original press, but this Analogue Productions reissue sounds absolutely amazing!

I never cared for those long rambling snorting flute solos at the Tull concerts. It was funny once, but back at that time they had to have that flute solo that went nowhere, then the guitar solos which were a little better, and then the drum solos which they've finally stopped this practice of. The thing I love about Tull is that every year they would tour and come with some new completely unknown instrumental imrpovisational jam that you would never hear again ... well, untill 30 years later. Tull is still my favorite band.

I've been buying the AP Doors releases. I was left with an oooo feeling. Feels and sounds like incredibly luxurious pressings and at $60 which I feel is totally fair. Mofi has gone ludicrous with prices so AP slipping in at reasonable. Really wish they'd tackle more rock and prog as I'm not interested in all the jazz. Camel would be a band I'd love to see them do. I have UK ogs but for AP to give Camel they're amazing attention would really be killer.

OMG, $65 dollars for an album I'm pretty sure I bought for maybe $2.50 back in the day.

Analogue Production really don't fail, ever. They are the best IMO
Sadly buying from Germany is too expensive

Does the sales of AP through Michael 45 Audiophile in Germany lower the cost less for you in Germany?

@@SafeAndSoundTXAudioExcursion Don´t know, should yes, but I did order my stuff before I did know his channel, but next time I will try for sure. Shipping and tax is way to high for one person. All in all it was worth it, really are great records, UHQR SteelyDan, Hendrix was also included in that order, very happy with all of them for sure

I've been wondering.... most people agree a 45 rpm album has better sound quality vs a 33 rpm of the same album.... why not try 78 rpm??? Wouldn't it increase the fidelity even more???

AP version is the bomb. Made it to my personal top 10 of last year best releases. Definitely a MUST have record. 👍🏻

The UK 1st press sound stunning the AP is good but lacks vibrancy compared to a minty OG, the same can be said for the AP doors records, I have the AP, US & UK 1st presses. Chad does a great job BUT 50 years of tape degradation has taken it's toll. If a reissue sounds that different it's not applicable. Listen to a UK 1st press of Aqualung on a high end turntable and cartridge it will blow you away. Pro reviewers doing shoot-outs use high end systems. Mike at the in groove and Michael 45rpm give more balanced reviews. Mike 45rpm has stopped doing shoot outs between reissues and OG's as 80% of the time the OG sounds better. I value your comments regarding the music but not re the sound
