    Hm. This actually looks really easy. Then again, i have made more complex origami in the past. To everyone who is new to origami, remember these things: It has been done, it can be done. So there is not much stopping you.
    If at first you don't succed, take a break, look at it really hard, try to figure out what that step SHOULD do, and try again.
    If you are a beginner, expect to fail 3 times before you get a good one.
    Some of these folding techniques (such as at 08:11 for example) may look intimidating if you have never done such a fold. But if you have done it before, it becomes a piece of cake and an exercise in precision. With time you will start to learn what sinks, swivels, rabbit ears, reverse folds, outside reverse folds are, and what to look for when doing them. Then you will look at this and go, yeah right i can do this for you, gimme 5 mins...
    Maybe 10 if you want to do it well, don't get discouraged...

  • @kurtphair1446
    @kurtphair1446 Před 4 lety +21

    I did it! Took about 40 mins I think but it looks really nice actually! I did it with a 15 x 15 cm paper (6x6 for Americans) and would reccomend a larger size as some of the late shaping could only be done with minimal detail since there just wasn't much paper. Thx for the tutorial Jo!

    very cool design, super simple folds and easy to follow with good video + diagram instructions. Amazing again. This is my second piece from yours - the dragon being my first one. As others have said - I almost fainted when I got to 8:11! I finally got through it though... the valley(?) fold on that one was just difficult to conceptualize.
    Videos are definitely useful for seeing you follow through it. Also rounding off the wolf back, legs, and head was surprisingly difficult for me. The paper didn’t want to bend the right way...
    Really love it though! I am considering doing something for some co-workers in anticipation of Game of Thrones season 8! Wolves and Dragons...

      One more thing - the thing I’m loving most about your videos is that it is really making me step outside my comfort zone with folding.
      It’s one thing to make an origami piece with nice straight lines and sharp corners.. something else completely when you add the small details to make that much more “realistic”.

      You need special wet origami paper with has fibres activated when wet to help sculpt the paper in place- it’s a lot thicker than original origami paper

    Beautiful piece - congratulations, and thanks a lot for sharing.
    Hint: to prevent the rear legs from spreading, you can twist the lower outer corners; and to prevent the whole piece from spreading, you can twist the lower corner in the internal "spine."

    I made so many other creations that are decapitated or tailess for my dad and he puts them by his window where he works, kinda makes me feel bad. Let's hope this won't end up bad! Wish me luck peeps!
