Love your apartment - I would honestly just leave your kitchen the way it is I think when you get your sofa rug and all your kitchen accessories in it will look beautiful but totally up to you of course! When you decorated your home in canada i had commented that “you have changed a house to a “home””.And this time i am again excited to see that journey in US. It's extremely close compared to you being in Australia!!! I also live on the East Coast. I'm in New England in Rhode Island. Hopefully when Fall comes around, you'll take a few days and go up to New Hampshire! It's funny hearing you talk about adding color to your life. When I first subscribed to your channel years ago, I did notice how all your clothing and decor was all neutrals. White, black, grey, and beige. Then in 2020 I did a similar thing when I moved. My color scheme became focused only on a handful of colors. Grey, white, and pink. With accents of silver and light woods like oak or pine. My clothing switched a little before 2020 ironically to most of the same colors. Pink, grey, and tan, with white and a little black as accent colors. My exceptions were still allowing leopard print and magenta because they've been my favorites for many years. I was super stressed and just wanted all my clothes to match as a way to decrease some of my stress.
Your place is beautiful. What if you got some new handles for your cabinets? Maybe something more interesting might provide the visual interest you are looking for.
Georgetown is so great. I spent a lot of time there years ago, with my sister and niece. We’d shop and have lunch there. They lived in southern Maryland, so,it wasn’t far. Enjoy.
OMG Georgetown looks exactly like Manchester UK, where I'm from! Insane! I think it's the Georgian windows and red brick and industrial-looking architecture!
