Do people really not understand that YG still has a large ownership interest in TBL? Trainees moving from YG to TBL is a strategic move to give both companies a GG. TBL's GG will still most certainly use YGX dancers and will still be very much associated with YG.
They only have 21% interest now, down from 45%. But yeah, you'll still see them working with a mix of YGX and freelance dancers, their situation will be the same as we see with Somi and Taeyang. As far as Somi is concerned the only connection is that YG is her distributor for her cds and merchandise and that's it. They don't promote any TBL artists. You won't even see Somi do a tik tok or dance challenge with any YG artist. The same will probably be the same for the new group.

If Teddy is promoting a new girl group, that is not "throwing shade" at YG. It's just taking care of business. It's no secret that The Black Label is an entertainment company, just like YGE, like JYPE, like SME, etc. Of course it's newer and smaller, but it's in the same business category. They already have artists under the label (such as Taeyang and Somi). They've been planning for a long time to create new groups and announced auditions a long time ago. If The Black Label is "throwing shade" just because it's beginning pre-debut promotions of a new girl group...then any company that promotes a new group must be "throwing shade". But that's not what "throwing shade" is supposed to mean. "Throwing shade" means making subtle criticisms or insults about someone. That's not what's happening here.

They can both be super successful. In fact if they are both powerhouse groups with huge global popularity, a friendly "rivalry" between them could be beneficial for both groups, since their fandoms will be constantly competing with each other to see how much they can do to help their faves win. It's been known now that Teddy is indeed moving TBL to a new building. They were currently occupying the old YG building. I'm guessing with YG bringing on 50 new in house producers they will be taking over that space now. It's also public that YG's owned shares of TBL dropped to just 21% percent giving them less of a stake in the company.

You need a big fandom to rule the future. Look at twice, was big at start, won millions of desangs but were are they? It is over for new jeans once teddys gg coupled with Baemon will enter the scene. Remember Baemon is now starting yet, April they coming. 200M for a debut, which new jeans can only dream off, already a growing fanbase, already people interested in the members, people be knowing their names.
Personally, I really wish Babymonster the best, since I’m kinda YG stan, but I just can’t see it. I am really disappointed in Batter up and Stuck in the middle, it is just not giving YG. And it seems really low quality, I was expecting much more. As for Teddy’s group, I’m really excited. Like I have the same hopes I had with Babymonster, for us, the audience to get something new and different. I love new kpop, but hits from back in the day are way better than today’s, I really wish for us to see actual hip hop style of music in a girl group, as it seems like 99,9% of them mainly go for pink girly ones, not that is something bad, it’s just over done. Even if the concept is something different, idle’s super lady for example, the song it’s just not hitting. Right now my hopes are on Teddy’s group, since he is a total hit maker
