- Last week I brought you guys a video about the top popular places to visit in Liguria ( • TOP PLACES TO VISIT IN... ), also known as the Italian Riviera (the area that goes from the French border with Cote d'Azur - the French Riviera - and ends at Tuscany).
I have divided this video in two different parts:
1) WESTERN LIGURIA (Riviera di Ponente)
• Hanbury Botanical Gardens (Giardini Botanici Hanbury)
• Dolceacqua
• Apricale
• Bussana Vecchia
• Triora
• Dolcedo
• Imperia
• Cervo
• Laigueglia and Alassio
• Zuccarello and Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena
• Toirano Caves (Grotte di Toirano)
• Finale Ligure
• Varigotti
• Noli
2) EASTER LIGURIA (Riviera di Levante)
• Campo Ligure
• Sori
• Camogli
• Santa Margherita Ligure
• San Fruttuoso
• Rapallo
• Sestri Levante
• Varese Ligure
• Portovenere and the Palmaria Island
• Lerici
• Tellaro
I will be going through these 28 different locations that will be way less crowded, from pretty medieval villages in the mountains, to colourful coastal towns.
Hope this video will be helpful to you, and that you can add some of these destinations on to your itinerary, on a next trip to Liguria!
Have fun and let me know if you have any questions! ❤️️

Thank you for watching, and thank you for helping me out on this journey to spread awareness around lesser known locations around the globe! I appreciate you all and hope these videos can be inspiring and helpful to you! 😘
Your video is my template for my travel and it has been super helpful. Thanks
Aww really glad to hear that! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment 😊
You made my stay even better! Thank you for sharing this.
I will add it at to my airbnb review
It makes me so happy knowing that! It is my pleasure, and I am happy that you found the video useful! ☺️
Great video! I lived in Liguria for some time and have many to many of these places. Liguria is definitely an underrated region of Italy (among foreigners), but it is my favorite region! So many beautiful towns and so much delicious food!
I was absolutely in love with it. I agree that is a very underrated region yet one of the most beautiful!! 🥰 Thank you for watching the video!
Thank you for such a comprehensive and inspirational video. I've spent many summers in Liguria and always return to San Fruttuoso, Camogli and Portofino. I find these places endlessly fascinating. However, as you mentioned Lerici and Tellaro I'm now curious to visit there too!
Can't blame you - those were certainly some of my favourite places there! Really glad I could share some other alternatives in the area! I hope you enjoy them on your next trip to Liguria. Thank you for watching 🥰
Excellent video!!
Thank you 🙏🙏
Thank you so much, excelent video
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. Great you liked it 🙂
Sestri Levante is my favorite holiday destination, with it's lovely beaches! And I always have to visit Camogli when I'm there! Little Paradise....♥️🇮🇹
I absolutely loved it! Those two were literally my favourite towns in Liguria :D Completely understand why you like them both! :)
Thank you for this very usefull video. I'm going to Liguria with my motorcycle and I love of the beaten path destinations. So this will come in handy. Big thank you from Belgium. Grazie mille!
Hi there, appreciate you watching and leaving a comment, and I am really happy that this video was helpful for you. I have met a lot of motorcycle travelers lately! Liguria is a wonderful part of the world and one with so much to explore. Glad to see more people getting off the beaten track too 😊
Did you end up riding your bike there? My husband loves to ride and would love to do that! Any favorite places in Northern Italy? Thanks.
Very good video about some of the top ligurian destination, not even in Italy is possible to find such detailed video about Liguria
Thank you so much, it means a lot to hear that! :D Liguria is an incredible place in Italy and I wish to go back one day! :D
Hi Dani, just watched your vidos about my favoutite part of Europe- Liguria. They are great. I wos in Liguria twice and in next January I'm going for the third time. And coz of yours video insted of just weekend I need to go for a week. The only one places I will add to your list are hills with fortes and castles around Gnova and Castella with old vintage train from Genova
Hi Arkadiusz, so happy to know that you enjoyed the video and that thanks to it, you're now spending longer in Liguria this time! It is a fantastic part of Europe!! Do you happen to know the name of those hills with fortes and castles? These locations were all I could find from hours of research, so would be interested to find out more!! :D
@@danielazziptrips Hi, nice video!
I think he is referring to the Parco urbano delle mura (with forte sperone, diamante, etc) which is just behind the city and a very nice place to walk/jog/mountain bike. With great views. The train is the trenino di casella
@@loreno7774 uhh I googled it and the photos show incredible views around it! Sounds like a place I would indeed add to the list! Thank you for clarifying that to me! 😊😊
Nice, thanks for the video. I suggest to mention Lingueglietta as well which is one of the best villages in the area.
Thank you! I totally missed that one!
Is it good to visit this area in Late December?
You won't be able to do enjoy the beach, and I think many of locations might be slightly deserted (and some activities not working) as it is off season, but you should still be able to enjoy the beauty of the landscape. I would definitely wait for spring/summer instead of Winter not only because of the activities but also because of the weather :)
Hope this helps!
Fact check - bussana vecchia - 2000 did not die - more like 200 and it wasn’t local Artists that re- inhabited it - it was Dutch and English artists
Show more video and picture of where you're talking about instead your face. I can't watch this video more than a few minutes.
Thank you for your feedback and apologies for that. The reason why this video was done the way it is is simply because unfortunately, I did not visit all of these places physically, and I didn't have access to much royalty free footage at the time. Nevertheless, I still wanted to bring an informative video to help those who could benefit from my research on planning their itinerary. Have a lovely weekend
You had some good moments but you do way too much talking head stuff when you could cut away to beautiful scenery. Honestly way too much talking and I had to turn off the video just a few minutes in.
