Maybe skill and reflex-wise, but not power. Especially in his early days, at these light weight divisions, Mayweather was leaving bodies. I don't think Haney's power and chin are gonna withstand going up 5 weight classes. He'll be competitive at 140, but 147 will be difficult, imo. Stevenson's already on his 2nd weight class, about to go to 135 once Haney goes up to 140 (they're mates and don't wanna fight each other. seriously, everyone who interacted with Devin in the amateur days seems to really like the guy), and then they'll probably cash in a mega fight at 140, since they both seem to really wanna fight Taylor (I mean who wouldn't wanna see that; Taylor is THAT guy at 140). I think 147 will be a struggle for Stevenson, too; he hits hard but not Bud or Spence hard. That's 2 divisions for Haney, and 4 for Stevenson (3 and 5 respectively, if they manage a 147 belt). While we're hitting possible Mayweathers, I think Boots will go up to from 147 to 168, unless everyone ducks him, with 175 being a struggle, totaling 4 possibly 5 divisions. tl;dr: Easier for Stevenson and Ennis to improve skill than it is for Haney to develop power, as shown by Mayweather himself. But we'll see, these are just my guesses!
@@Kaikojo I actually think Haney moving up will help him develop that power everybody wants him to have. Also remember he’s only 23 so he has time to get that grown man body

@@MIS3RY. It was kind of weird though that the guy at 0:45 wasn't throwing really anything back, almost like they told him to not fight back as much. I wouldn't doubt it if they do tell these sparring partners to let these stars get the work in, they probably get paid a good amount to step in for just 25-30 min. Not to say that Haney isn't as good as this shows him to be, just a bit weird that some of these guys that are taller or same height don't fight back as much because they put Haney's reach at a disadvantage and would make a sparring session equal, especially if they have good pop/power.

Sparring is supposed to help the partners as well. Can tell you never been in no damn boxing gym before. They may be getting beat up. But honestly it’s helping them learn what they need to work on. What’s he supposed to do? Spar all the fighters he’s supposed to fight in rankings? Idiot.
Just like he did Kambosos
Shakur Stevenson is an amateur?😂 don’t make statements when you have zero boxing knowledge.. everyone he sparred is a pro.
I used to think it was just bjj that was good for people but it’s everything with hard work and wisdom
Bjj is at the bottom of the ladder. Olf school boxing and collegiate wrestling will really put the hurt on you and turn you into a different person for the better. BJJ is ok but very watered down nowadays.
@@shad3128 fight me I dare u talk to my family tree like that I’ll end it in a swift blow bud
@@shad3128 My Family is spiritually the strongest i would stop talking bad about bjj please
@@shad3128 just be careful who u talk to
Haney needs opponents to make him fight like the way he spars in an actual bout 😭😭
If he fights how he sparrs he would be bigger threat
Is this in australia
No
Show the sparring against Crowley
He has a good chin
Devin a humble kid, but low-key he's the best out all them boxers.
What’s this color?
Sparring I find that most opponents don’t really punch back if you aggressive enough
1:05 Beat him like Tank 😂 wished they let it played fully
Henny ain't no joke boi 🤣💯💯
hopefully he can gain some more power as he goes up in weight
5:20 : body shot- fake body shot- cross- lead hook- cross. ❤
Like did y’all see the teaching he gave kambosos😂😂 lambosos foghting with he’s hands down….mean while
Haney strait jab up the pipe😂😂😂all night ouuuf I wouldn’t hated to be in hes shoes😂😂😂
Tank / Shakur / Devin are the best right now idc what nobody say. Although I don’t know them personally, I wish they’d get along a lil better.. it’s different ways to sale a fight :/ but again I digress.. idk them maybe one day I’ll meet them 🤔 I look up to all 3.
I would say devin haney is the closest to may weather perhaps can even be better.
@@Kaikojo yea u right about the power
@@Kaikojo I actually think Haney moving up will help him develop that power everybody wants him to have. Also remember he’s only 23 so he has time to get that grown man body
@@Kaikojo I also think boots won’t struggle to get to 175, remember boots is tall so he can put on the weight
Most of those guys wasn't playing with dev , that's some good smoke but I think he spared to much people cause all now he can't get none of them in the ring, probably only Shakur would take that fight cause he's just as good as dev r some will say better but these guys ain't gonna fight dev cause u can c it for urself,he has everyone on the back foot n when he's on his ,that pivot n change up left hook looking like a jab is crazy n he finds a home for it everytime, that's enough to keep people honest.
Ask him why he quit in the middle of sparring Crowley
Where’s Shakura stevens out iq ing devin Haney??
You could tell his sparring partners don't want him to get hurt
That’s not how sparring works bro , he’s also sparred tank and shakur (which is online) . You won’t get better if they let you beat them up .
Look like some of those sparring partners are green
They’re not gonna let you spar dev or any top fighter if you’re green . You have to atleast be a national champion . Shawn porter was in this compilation for example and he’s faaaaaar from green .
Just like Kambosos
got schooled by shakur tho lmaoooo
They were kids 😐
