- A short look at How to Fit Fins and Booties for Scuba or Snorkeling. See the difference between Low and Talk plus Soft and Hard soled Booties. Are your booties or fins too small. Are you having cramps when you dive, this video will help you.
Great info. I’m a new free diver and I’m in the beginning phase of assembling my own gear to best fit my body for optimal diving experience. This has really helped me plan so much. I’m so grateful for people like you who share your wisdom!
Glad it was helpful Ryan, free diving is a very artful skill. Almost a Zen type of experience. Thanks for you note and be safe ! Bob C
I'm just a snorkel or free dive guy and not good at either and I'm 63 but I enjoyed the video cuz I just found some cheap fins and mask at goodwill and didn't know how the fitting process works , I bought 4 sets for 40 dollars lol, anyway the medium seems to fit me and will try in pool before I go to the Philippines, thank you so much
Right on ! Wow great score on those Goodwill goodies, surprising what you can find at their locations. Travel Safe ! Loved the Philippines when I was there in 1980.. Regards Bob C
Very thorough and informative tx.(that's why we all shop at the Jacksonville area Divers Supply. )
Thanks David ! Bob C
How is everything I hope everything going as well. I wear size 12 in sneaker shoe and boots. What size fins would I need.
Thank you for all your help today! I learned a lot!
You are so welcome ! ...and it looks like I'll be teaching this weekend's OW course. Bob C

My pleasure ! Regards Bob C
Hello, I have scubapro jet sport fin (XL) and ı have Cressi Isla 7mm (XL). My foot size 10.5 or 11. Do you think my flippers and boots are compatible?
This would be a fun video to edit into meme-able content.
It really wouldn't it !
Thank you for the information. I often snorkel with rocky shoreline, I would like to wear booties to protect my feet. I wear a size 11 shoe and would like to pair then with the Scuba Pro Seating Supernova fins. Which type of bootie would you recommend?
Excellent question Eric, When I was stationed in Sardinia, Italy, lots of rocky shoreline so hard sole booties were welcomed.
Below are a few choices, these are not in any sort of preference or price, but should give you an idea of what to look for in your search. Thanks Bob C

@@DiversSupplyYT Thank you Bob!
Are these shoes good for average walks and a running?
Hummmm... not so much for runs but great for walks on the beach.
Just two points you didn't mention, over the years I've used soft sole and hard sole. I find the hard sole boot's hold the ankle strap better than soft ones. I've actually had to retrieve a fin on more than one occasion wearing soft sole booties. Also, No-zipper V's zipper booties. No zipper booties are a pain in the butt post dive because they tend to "suck" to your foot.
All good points about boot specifics and yes sir I could have discussed ALOT more specifics like the size of the heel bump that's on some fins and not others. This easily could have been 45 mins long..
Trying to find big tech fins
So Ivory, What is your tennis shoe size ? Then look at your booties Hard or soft soled and then take a look at fins is my suggestion. Bob C
@@DiversSupplyYT 13 wide I like the jet type fins positive buoyancy
Anybody make a bootie for 4E wide feet?
Sorry not that I know of...
