Does anyone remember Adventures of Bayou Billy? One of the hardest games out there, but the music was pure gold!

This is true. But all of us that grew up with these games, can enjoy and appreciate them and I hope younger people to see how amazing these games were, cause they’re classic! Thank you very much!

I agree with this list if its in no particular order
Startropics was a given for anyone who could get used to the control. Great game. Happy to see Blaster Master and Shadowgate get some attention. By the way both have some pretty great remasters available for multiple platforms. Including the Switch if you want to keep the Nintendo theme going.
Some commentary would have been nice but it's alright. I think I spent more ammo on the dog in Duck Hunt than the ducks. As a songwriters it is always amazing to me how much they were able to come up with using so little. Shout out to Koji Kondo for coming up with the Super Mario Bros. and Zelda soundtracks. Legend ❤❤❤
Honorable mentions if I missed them: 8 Eyes, Marble Madness, The Black Bass and Rampage
The guardian legend deserves to be wayyyyyyy higher than 87. At least top 25.
It is all about personal preferences. But i agree. It is a great game!
Batman was a great game but ridiculous difficult
Great list. ‘Battletoads’ at 40 seems a little low. But it’s so hard to pick. Thanks for throwing ‘Ice Hockey’ on there. Loved that game as a kid. Would’ve liked to see ‘R.B.I. Baseball’ make the list too.
Startropics is the most underrated game I have ever seen

Man this list is my whole childhood. I used to get a new game every week from either my mom or dad, so I've played pretty much everything listed here. Some of them like Dragon Warrior series, Blades of Steel and R.C. Pro Am, i used to play all the time and straight up forgot about. Top 30 were games I played literally all the time.

Ninja Gaiden 2 and Battletoads needs to be higher on the list

I personally don't have the same order as this list, but appreciate the content and your ranking.
If this were my list, I would have thrown in RBI baseball, Track and field 2, Romstar World Champ, Marble madness, Wizards and Warriors, Monopoly, California games, Arkanoid, off road, and side pocket.
Dang NES had some great games
Demon Sword and Ring King look awesome, I had never seen them. Faxanadu and Star Tropics are games I always wanted to play but had never come across them in the wild. Batman The Video Game is slept on as far as great Batman games and great platformers. Solid top 3. I'm surprised no Donkey Kong on the list?

Did I miss RBI Baseball? Tecmo Bowl? The actual Tetris? Not sure what Tetris version that was. Some... interesting choices. Mostly good.
You are right. RBI Baseball is missing. But Tecmo Super Bowl is 53 rated on the list. As for the Tetris(tengen), there is a very interesting story behind it, about Tengen/Nintendo feud. You can check it out! Thank you❤️

I feel like the list is lacking, like you didn't even play 20% of the games you've listed. I know it's an IGN list, but there are conceptual errors while making it. For starters, some of the games didn't even come out on NES. But the most preocupying is that videos like this are influential on people's opinions
Dr. Mario should be in the top 10 honestly!!
Couple of surpise omissions in Rollergames and Adventures of Captain Skyhawk. Maybe also Battle of Olympus. Overall a pretty good list though. EDIT: No Solstice either. Actually probably not that great a list.

Ha ha. I was actually thinking about T and C surf design as well. Kings of the Beach, gauntlet. Those are a couple more I'd add. I'm sure there are some others I'm forgetting.
I'm starting to think that for these lists, people will pick they're actual top like....25 at most and for the rest, they pick games they like and just arbitrarily place them on the list.

I can never tell if these top 100 lists are in fact least to greatest games, or if they're simply going random until they hit top 25 or what, but either way, the title placement needs to be reevaluated in this list.
I agree 'CoolGameStuff'.. it's hard to agree with the entire world on the particular order but this was on point LOL. I am surprised you didn't put down Techmo Bowl.
Umm 🤨 umm 🤔 WHOM / What Company made such a List?! I feel putting TMNT @ #98 is such a crime. I agree perhaps 97 deserves respect too yet literally that game’s difficulty & nostalgia effect.. even its cover art far outclass it to other games. Even the music is better.. I had to STOP 🛑 the video just to say this bc I feel whomever made this didn’t so their homework 📚 or grew up in that Era to weigh in the SIGNIFICANCE of such a game.
Dont believe me? Just check out how TMNT placed when it came out & how well it performed commercially. Better NES games came out too like Snake Rattle & Roll.. yet I feel no other game at the time gave you Shuriken x1, - x3 Spread 😍 version, Boomerangs 🪃 , Scroll 📜 Waves, and more other fun tools like Missiles 🚀 & Grappling Hooks 🪝!! Pizza 🍕 powerups for life 🏥.. Yeah whomever made this constructed it from others lists & hasn’t actually played the games.. callin it right now!!
The original Turtles game is awesome!! Made it to level 4 only. Even though I like part two and three better, the original is I feel waaayyyy underrated. I rented this game as a kid.

It was originally called "Russian Attack" as I remember when it was on the Commodore 64 but I also remember it being called Green Beret.
Do you know what game this was? It was a side scrolling platformer where we control a robot, but the pilot could get off and explore too?

No Solar Jetman, Battle of Olympus,, Captain Skyhawk, Might and Magic, Swords n' Serpents, Adventures in the magic Kingdom, Adventures of Dino Rikki, Nobunahas' Ambition 2, Bomberman, Captain America and the Avengers, G.I. Joe, Flying Warriors, Friday the 13th, Night on Elm Street, Legacy of the Wizard, The Magic of Scheherazade, World Cup Soccer/Super Spike Vball, Rambo, Shadowgate, Simpsons-Bart va the Space Mutants, Star Wars, Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back, WCW Wrestling, Werewolf The Last Warrior, Wrath of the Black Mantra. Lots of these could have made the list over some of those stupid puzzle games. This isn't even counting Japan only games, like what was the criteria for this list were you worried about mentioning franchises like WCW or Star Wars. if it were just unique games then the Punisher shoulda made the list, I'd play that over Duckhunt for sure.
Shadowgate was there. The game I always look for which I think should be there but never is, is The Immortal.

Many great Famicom games were never released in the west. For example someone suggested Holy Diver in the comments.

What are you basing this on? You got a lot of 💩in this list, so I’d like to know if you ranked these based on sentimental value or actual in game enjoyment. Mike Tyson’s Punch Out should be in the top 5. Double Dragon should be in the top 10. Final Fantasy sucks, should be nowhere on the top 20. Zelda II is not better than Battletoads, Crystalis, Operation Wolf, TMNT Arcade, Batman…etc.

Yeah. The Google Play store has emulators, just need roms.
This list is decent, but it has some stupid picks. Micro Machines is way ahead of much better games. They don't have Conquest of The Crystal Palace on here, they put Double Dragon 3 ahead of 2, which makes no sense at all, and the first one is missing. No Ninja Turtles 3 Manhattan Project? This list is very flawed.
