    I've bought majorette cars, and I think they look great. They feel good quality, reasonably priced, rolls nice, and has some opening parts. Overall, pretty good. (Also approved by the turtle, he pushes them around)

      Wait your turtle plays cars!?

      @@64Wheels I'll let him play with them when he runs around the living room, he also has favorites. He likes the Volvo 850s I have, and most other wagons/hatchbacks, he likes minis, Volkswagen beetles, and pretty much any station wagon. He likes them all but he has favorites.

    This move is definitely something needed to sell majorette's in the U.S from what i have seen so far, Majorette just doesn't attract *that well* for some reason, but this pink slips line is starting to not only sell majorette models, but even intrigue U.S collectors to also dig at majorette which is a even bigger win than originally intended.

    I watched the whole video. Your review is spot on. I think the more cars you buy, the more chips you find. I have found 4 lately in other brands. Too bad the jeep has pink windows

      Thanks! And agree on the paint quality too - the more you open, the more issues you’ll inevitably find and that’s true for almost any brand.

    Awesome video my guy!! Such good information 🙌🏻 I’m still a little on the fence about these… I still grabbed the Porsche and lambo but probably won’t get many more… great job!

      Thanks! Some are definitely better than others, but there’s a few I’ll buy in any color they come in ha. The Majorette line for part 3 has a lot more castings and ones I think collectors like a little better as well.

    I have a couple Majorettes, but I stay away from the ones that don't have any moving parts. Same with Pink Slips.

    They don't all come the same way. It depends on which country you're buying it.

    • @64Wheels
      @64Wheels  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I can only speak about the US versions since those are the only ones that are available to me, so I’m not sure what other countries get. What country are you in and do they come in boxes are on cards where you are?

    • @bridgeseller
      @bridgeseller Před 3 měsíci +1

      I am in Korea. Most come without a box and plastic wheels.

    64Wheels, great video. If you have a casting that's common between Majorette and Jada - would you be able to do a side by side and see if there any differences? Thanks!

    • @64Wheels
      @64Wheels  Před 4 měsíci

      There’s really no way to tell them apart once they are opened because they all have the same Majorette bases, so you’d have to know they came from the Pink Slips line to know they were anything “different”, if that makes sense.

    I disagree with why Majorette has such a struggle connecting with collectors. Jada, Maisto, Greenlight, et al, all launched in the early 2000s and helped to rejuvenate the adult diecast collector market. Majorette, unfortunately and for whatever reasons, did not take advantage of that resurgence and collectors haven’t invested in the brand. Also, like Jada, Majorettes are largely 1:50 scale or thereabouts, making them more difficult to display alongside Hot Wheels and Matchbox collections, if they fit in the cases at all. They don’t fit in any of my cases so I have to make separate cases for them. The sculpting of the models is also a little simplistic and rely too much on the tampos for detail and the paint is way too thick, which makes the models look too soft and toy-like. I do collect Jada VWs because those shortcomings don’t really detract from the early air-cooled Dubz styling. JMHO though.

      @64Wheels  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Good thoughts on it - I don’t disagree and think the factors you put down and the ones I talked about in the video are all contributions to the issue.
      Like I mentioned, the scale sizing is an interesting topic because collectors have proven through brands like Hot Wheels and Matchbox that scale sizing isn’t an exact art, and they’ll collect a car that’s smaller/bigger than 1/64. I run into standard mainline HWs that don’t fit in my jammer cases too, and I’m always like man, come on lol. Then you have to have a separate case for the larger cars and it gets annoying.
      Some of the Pink Slips/Majorettes are sculpted nicer than some of their Mattel counterparts, and some are not, but it’s an interesting case study to see why collectors still steer away from Majorette. I hope more collectors in the US start appreciating them more so they will continue both the Pink Slips and Majorette lines as I enjoy cars from both!

      Wait is it really? I didn’t even know there were chases in this line - is the info posted anywhere that I can read it?

    • @allenfontaine4922
      @allenfontaine4922 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes ... Just Google it ... I'm a huge diecast collector. I collect mostly chase cars and have yet to find this one ... Congrats

    • @64Wheels
      @64Wheels  Před 4 měsíci +1

      @allenfontaine4922 I will have to Google it - you’re the first person I’ve heard that from too ha. The only chases I actually collect are the HWs car culture black chases bc I don’t like unrealistic colored chases like white Lightning’s or green machines.
