KHDK Mad Monarch Demo

Just a quick playthrough of this amazing pedal from KHDK. I am using it as a preamp in the loop of my Mesa Boogie Mark 2C+
Guitar is a Gibson LPC 1985 loaded with the Adler Fluence set.
Signal - guitar - pedal - amp - Audient ID14 MKII - Reaper - IR based on the Splawn 412 V30s

I have this pedal, but I have a huge problem with too much bass even in position 0. I have to use an additional eq. Do you have this problem? In your video sound good for me but maybe it depends on the microphone.

I've got this pedal too and can confirm depending on the pickups of your guitar the bass can become pretty boomy. One of my guitars has a Lundgren pickup that sounds pretty alright but another one has the Seymour Duncan black winter and that gets pretty bass heavy.

@@ultimatemetalguitartones have you tried this with a lower tuned guitar or maybe a 7 string? Curious to know how it sounds with those since this is meant to replicate Gary's tone which is more traditional, scooped thrashy kinda tone..

Bro how are you getting THAT much gain and bite out of this thing? Are you running it into a very slightly dirty channel of your amp or directly into the FX loop? I'm using this as a standalone pre-amp with a power amp sim and IRs but I'm not getting as much attack and bite as you are in this video.. still sounds badass but slightly less gain and bite compared to yours.
