good singer :) RESEARCH FROM HERE (remove the space:) therangeplanet.proboards.com/thread/1870/wood 00:00 - Low Notes 03:28 - High Chest/Mixed Notes 06:40 - High Falsetto/Head Voice Notes
Oh man! This is so fun, wow! Well done, quite an ear and an extensive knowledge :) I can't take all this credit though haha! I think that C in WKJ is my highest chest note ever, but I'm totally throwing a Hail Mary there. Jon made me try it over and over till we could get a take where I hit it without falsetto and then we just rolled with the one take - as far as I remember I never hit it again and never bothered trying haha! Then again back in those days I definitely had less vocal experience, and smoking definitely weakens the voice, so who knows. The ones you saw above the C are actually all falsetto, believe it or not! Some of them just dirty enough where maybe it's harder to tell? I think my real top chest note is that B, they always felt risky when I played those songs on tour last year. Also you're right on the money with that G in the backing vocals on vampire culture being my highest falsetto! You can hear me struggling with it on the making-of video on my channel, I can just barely do it. As for the low notes I could be wrong but I think rock bottom is F2 for me, you might've been hearing something with an effect or another vocalist in there? Kevin, Jon, and I all enjoy a nice digital octave for max spooks here and there - a little studio magic haha! I'm not always confident in my voice, but I've worked really hard on it, so this is really nice :') Super cool man, thanks for this, made my day :)
well this is a pleasant surprise to see in my notifications :0 really glad you liked it! surpirsing to hear that all the notes above C5 are falsetto, they're really powerful! I'd be interested to hear how that distortion is done. and yeah, listening back, it makes much more sense that the Eb2 and the D2 are some sort of octave pedal thing. you're one of my biggest vocal inspirations, so it's an honor to see that you've enjoyed this. thank you for all the awesome music!
@@inkarnatious I'd actually made one for lemon demon a year or so ago, but it was really poorly edited so I privated it. I might remake it if that'd be something you're interested in? :)
