What's up with all the small plan mistakes in Colorado as of late
I blame it on good weed.
A succesful landing on the highway is not a mistake. The mistake would be if the plane crashed. General aviation is very dangerous and many things can and do go wrong with small aircraft.
Look Biff, I'm a pilot.
@@JBS2018I could be wrong, but I don't think it's normal to land on the road. It should be an airport.
Is it Colorado or is it Boeing and Bridges, train crashes and derails every week. it's all starting to fall apart.
"It's not clear yet what led up to this emergency landing."
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it was probably an emergency.😂😂😂😂
and the pilot reporting engine trouble.
But what caused the emergency? Engine trouble? ..... What caused the engine trouble? It seems like a pattern, has anything changed recently in that industry?
Was not an engine issue. The ailerons were jammed, and he only had pitch and rudder authority. I overheard his mayday on the radio.
You guys are having all the fun.
Need to mandate parachutes on planes.
Y’all get the whole week let me get Fridays 😅❤
Timing is Everything
Hypothesis: I wonder if the Covid lockdowns created an opportunity for people to finally get their pilot license, meaning more inexperienced pilots with (cheaper to buy) older planes taking advantage of Colorado CAVU days.
I dont think there is any correlation or causation there. If the engine died or there was some other mechanical malfunction, its often not the pilots fault in something like a cessna. These things happen in general aviation all the time and people need to make emergency landings.
@@JBS2018 I’m just suggesting that a statistically large number of minor incidents could be related to a statistically larger pool of casual pilots flying older aircraft that are more affordable for beginners. So far they haven’t seemed like pilot error so much as TBO and inexperience with flying in summer heat (one incident looks from the data avail to have been a classic vaporlock, which experienced pilots learn to avoid).
CESNAS ARE NOT PLANES
Cessna small planes are not known for quality..
