Welcome and in this video I will show you 6 thrift store makeovers I upcycled this week. These are all fabulous trash to treasure decor pieces and I think they all turned out fantastic!! I would have loved to seen the beehive glass turned into an outdoor lantern. The hole at the bottom would have been perfect for a solar powered fairy light.

I googled the glass bee hive. It’s a garden wasp catcher. The top has a cork to prevent the wasp from flying out. I liked it better unpainted though.

Yep it is a wasp catcher! I have had mine for years, I have them in a multiple of different styles. When you live in Texas they sure come in handy!
I felt the same way about the paint job, didn’t like it at all. Much nicer as the original glass. But I really liked the charging station. What a great way to use this old fashioned letter keep/ bill keeper.
Great ideas! I agree that the wasp catcher was cuter without the paint but those "disagreements" is what makes the world go around! I got a Cricut for Christmas and am having fun exploring before I start doing my projects. Thank for the ideas!!

Funny, I just recently said to myself the exact same thing, that I need to finish up all the thrift finds I have piling up that need to be completed as well… before I buy ANY more. Love all of these ideas, they turned out great 💕

The glass bee hive is a wasp catcher. You put sweet juice in the bottom, hang it where you are having a wasp or fly problem. The fly up the bottom hole attracted by the sweet juice and then can't figure out how to get out. The juice will ferment in the heat and they get drunk off of it and usually drown in the juice. I don't know if they will go into one painted, but still worth a try so it has a function other than just decor.

It's to catch wasp, bees or any sweet honey lovin' insect. You put a little honey in then hang. Usually comes with a topper so they fly in and then set on sticky goo :)

I always go to the "oops" section, first, when I go to any store, that sells paint. I got some great paint, at Walmart, for $8.00/gallon. I, also, have got some great "oops" sample size paints for $0.50.

the bee hive jar is for catching flys and other bugs. It comes with a cork in the top you put a little sugar water poured down the inside and just put enough for a little bit in the bottom hang it on patio or in house if you have flies in the house. The flies will fly into the hole on bottom then they don't know how to get out. I have one and they really work

We had a lot of the beehive things at out cabin you put sugar drink (we used left over pop or juice) and bees and wasps can fly up and in but not down. You can make a similar thing with a pop bottle diy.

Your bee hive is a hornet catcher..in the fall we use this to bring them to another part of the yard..we pour some pop or sugar water into the vase, the hornets are attracted to the sugar, but can not figure out how to get out. Then we can enjoy our yard !

I just bough a similar hanging jar and it was orange. Apparently it is a wasp catcher. Mine does not have the cork in the top though. I put a solar light in it and hung it in my garden. Thank you for your inspiration and upcycles. Much appreciated.

All your projects came out so pretty. Your first coffee pit is a coffee pot without the inner works. I have 2 old like new revere pots. I Love the way it makes coffee taste. Theze ni matter what brabd can be hatd ti find and expensive ! A trick if you can't find one is go to the Camping Section abd you can usyally find them at a reasonable price. Your Beehive/ wasp cather looks Incredible. I was wondering can you seal it? It looks like a beast to dust and I am horrible with dusting. Keep it coming We will All watch You Fabulous !!

That is a decorative wasp trap. They usually have a cork in the top and you put a liquid that attracts them and they get trapped. I liked it better clear.

and how very ironic that you turned that very outmoded mail and bills holder into a very modern phone charger station!! still communications, still very time-fitting, and so very different 😈. with 3 grown-up kids, forever looking for a charger, I will MAKE an old-fashioned mail holder like that (saw a vid once, on how to make it from old books) and turn it into a charger station!! amazing idea!!!

The vase has a great color and texture. I like the tag on the beehive and the texture is good but for me I liked it better as it was (clear). The board is really cool with the wax chippy look and always love your graphics. The frame is an amazing upcycle. Love the distressing and the picture process. The charging station is a fantastic upcycle idea and the graphics are great.

I love that charging station. I have a number of different letter holders (some with the hearts)and will turn it into a charging station. What a good idea. I’m Still unpacking but I try to use things that I have and just Upcycle them. Give them a new purpose. I have to try that wax Technique. That looks neat. Maybe I’ll do it on my Valentine sign for outside. Thanks for all the great tips you alway give. 🇨🇦

Love this have a couple old pots. Do you have a video decopauging a ceramic tile to make coasters ? I did a couple of large glass jugs with the sand paint they turned out gorgeous. Thank you for saving all my glass jars from the dump.

That cell charger is an awesome idea. There isn't much mail anymore so Something that's so outdated you made it great for use today. I love it. I think you are right about the bug catcher, I think its for hornets and wasps. Great video.

I really enjoy your upcycles but today I really loved your letter holder convert to phone charging station , I have actually got an old letter holder in my craft tub now I know what to use it for 😂😂😂thanks for the inspiration

I have one of those wasp traps. If you put fruit or juice up in the fridge at the bottom, they fly in, but can't fly back out. I have an allergy to them, so I got tired of being attacked by them. They are vicious, & they will dive like bombers at your head
