I've been a Muslim for four years now and the theme of 'pictures on the wall' has naturally received even more attention. Your detailed explanations were very enlightening for me.
You can put up pictures of your family only in private rooms. Photos of people are not haram, if there is no nudity. Another, you are not creating images of God, so people are not gods and it is ok to take photos of them.

One way to practice 99 names of Allah swt is to have them as your phone password one at a time for lobg enough that you can't forget then move to the second, third... names. If you forget the names you can look it up some other way at first. It something that has helped me so hopefully it would help anyone that's finding it hard to memorise

I am a new revert and I find it useful to write down on a piece of paper the whole procedure of Salah as my guide and paste it on my wall so everytime I am praying I know what I am doing. I hope Allah (SWT) will accept my prayer.
Assalamualaikum sister. Just a correction , you cannot write "PBUH" ( peace be upon him) after the name of Allah because Allah(swt) is the source of all peace. So u can't wish peace on Allah(swt). Hope you understand 😅May Allah accept your good deeds and grant you jannah . Ameen😃

Just for your good sister do remove the music you have in ur playlist as it's public not only is music prohibited but you will get sin who so ever clicks on ur profile and watch those music videos
So please make sure u delete them and try your best to go to arabic acepellas with good lyrics and no musical instrument even better if you listen to nasheeds with no musical instruments
And quran recitations surahs verses there are many alhamdulillah

Since I was a kid and now I got my own kids Alhamdulillah there has been ayat ul kursi at my mom house whenever we enter. Never ever have I ever forgotten not to read it. I think it is major source of calmness and tranquility in our house.

Very important message , may Allah bless you mufti Menk for sharing this wisdom about purchasing canvasses or paper weights with various verses of the Quran written on them and just hanging them up in our houses without reading them daily or a few times a week to feed the soul . Read to refresh & remind the mind and see what the almighty has planned for you inshallah. Over the years I have come to realise that they are not mere ornaments that are used to decorate the house but and recited to create a home inshallah and ward off negativity within the household .

Salaam Alaykum, Im not sure what compelled me to comment and i mean no disrespect in anyway. As a revert i couldnt understand why music was even haram. there are so many reasons. Now i wake up with no sound except nature. And sadly permanent ringing in my ears from loud noise so I know why. However i have immense gratitude for this awareness and grateful to still hear the amazing music of birds. I just smile everytime i wake and hear the same cockatoo at 4.30 every morning wake up all the birds and they all start to sing WOW.
When i took my pictures down i felt an amazing sense of peace as well as being in the momment by letting go. Now I notice easier where my thoughts go and as result I became more diciplined towards gratitude. Its like a peace and mercy for my eyes and more importantly for me my mind it sets me up for a peace full day.

From my true PERSONAL EXPERIANCE I had many pictures of my family and friends and many graduation pictures of myself in my bedroom. Each night before I was married I would be under attack by some kind of force in bed. I was pinned down and could not move for the life of me. I was screaming for my brothers and sisters, no one could hear me. My bestfriend once visited me and he was in my bedroom and he said 'please take those pictures down' I thought and thought he was wrong but he was 100% right. The attacks was getting worst and worst so I removed them all; 99.9% of the attacks was gone Al-Humdulila ! From then ALL the pictures of us was taken down in the home ! Please brothers and sisters do the same as me, it is not worth the big risks !
