My favorite album is Songs from the Choir Girl Hotel, just brilliant.
Heard ‘crucify’ in ‘93 on vh1 and that was it. Rabid fandom! Able to go to 14 shows over the years since. Altho NOH not my fave album by far, the show I saw that tour w/ the string quartet was THE most magical and captivating show. The arrangements w/ that quaret of her vast catalog were an exciting surprise w/ ea song. Love you T! Please grace your patient fans w/ new music and a tour!!

Mine was 96 as well, silence all these years made me cry..then happy phantom..I was HOOKED! I still find it so odd how critics ripped Boys for Pele, it is one of my absolute favs!
Mine when I watched 'Silent all these years' video in '92 when I was 19. I was immediately hypnotised and mesmerised by the dreamy video and her. I wanted everything Tori. Then I finally got the chance to see her at Spreckles Theatre in San Diego Under the Pink tour in '94and was enchanted 😍
She saved me! I remember hearing her in the beginning even WCTR I loved her! What she sings about has often brought me back from some very dark times. I went through so much and yet she was one of my constants. I am so grateful to her. She's amazing and kind and I thank her for that

Wow. We have such similar backgrounds. Now I relate to her music even more.
As often as I trick myself into thinking "Im past my assault" ... well .... here I am again, hearing these words going "Fuck . . where the fuck am I in all of this" Cause I really dont know sometimes. I can tell the story, I can share why it was so bad, but do I know who I was in there? who the man on the floor of his bathroom was. Man . . . thats the rough stuff.
