- I knew of this truck and had seen it for years...finally talked to the owner and we made a deal. Wasn't running, but was all original. Had to do a bit of work to get it started...but it is coming along!

Ah yes. I remember the sound of a 6 volt starter powered by 12 volts. It really makes them spin.
Awesome find! Thanks for sharing
... Comment #1 ... Nice to see the one year grill styled '54 ...
... Comment #2 ... I had a '51 the exact color, in So. Calif ...
... Comment #3 ... Anyone else notice the numbers
3,4,5,6,7 on the plate ? ... Kind of a cool thing ... 🇺🇸
...
Love the 54's... Looking good.. That paint came out beautiful...
Thank you...
Outstanding find! I would have used more restrain and kept the patina as it is... but to each his own. Good on you and thanks for sharing!
We are going to polish it up a bit better...sand the rust and keep it like that. Tempted to lower it...but it is all original....tough decision... Thanks for the comment.
@@supercarsunday4983 Very tempting to lower it, yes. Maybe not slam it but a subtle lowering would be nice. Painted rims, chromed lug nuts and whitewalls... Where to stop?
No keep it original
good for you nice find!!! is that 4 speed on the floor the original trany??
Yes.. all original. Not the original color... Runs like top...
How much did you pay for it.
just enough... would have wanted to get it for less than I payed... but.. for a totally stock, numbers matching '54.... not cut up...
@@supercarsunday4983 ya I’m looking at one 90% complete. 5000. No rust. What do you think
@@jediknight3637 I paid more. It wasn't running, tiny bit of rust. Had a ton of new parts with it. The previous owner said that it needed a fuel pump which was in the box of parts. I shopped it and felt that I could flip it the next day and make some money if I wanted to... since it was totally stock and all the new parts. I think $5k is a good price. I got mine running with a little elbow grease... still needs tires... but at $5k I think you are fine especially if it runs or motor turns...
