An interesting shift in the weight "murderers row" from a couple years ago. Was from 149 Zain, Nolf, Joseph, Hall and Nickal. That's shifted upweight now with the top five weights. Still you have more strength in the lower weights than before. All things considered, this team might have a slightly better balance of strength top to bottom. RBY might be entertaining with his goonie Ukraine moves. But I would appreciate even more a killer instinct. Stop playing around with five point techs when you know full well that a six point fall is almost a given.

Not sure why the Lions should have any weak wt classes given their history and reputation. The weakness at 147 is unacceptable. Still, it’s good to finally see a competitive 125.
They planned on having Brady Berge this year at 157, but he decided to stop competing after his injury at the National Tournament. I don't know if he'll be ready to go this year, but they brought in Shayne Van Ness to go either 149/157, and he was the top recruit in the entire country last year. And Joe Lee is probably dropping to 157 this year, where he should be a top 15ish guy.

Won against a unranked Maryland wrestler 5-1, then won against the ranked #27 4-3, and then lost to the #2 seed (Alex Marinelli) by 4. I’m more excited to see what Creighton Edsell can do at 165. See if he can get some bonus points for Penn State. He’s really solid this year.
