For the notepad, B5 or Legal should be the default size, because you can always trim it down. It's way more cost efficient to get the biggest and work with that!
The constellations on the sticker sheet are so cool because they are the easiest to spot in the night sky for where I live in the U.S. I imagine that A&O probably did that on purpose😊
I want the falling stars journal! One of my favorite themes. I also really want a square journal to make a reading journal.

The colors not in rainbow order drives me nuts! I really love this release. IDK if I can afford /need to get anything, but I like a lot of it so far.
Compass is my fav too! Wayfinder and Meteor next. No intrest in mermaids but love the color. Compass and Wayfinder are GORGEOUS! These designs are beautiful and perfect for all my summertime adventure documenting - as always Jess, a great and high quality review video. Thanks for all you do

I recently signed up for their quarterly box and I am soooooooo excited for my first one!
I like when they make teal cover notebooks - such a pretty color. I'm definitely getting one of the meteor shower notebooks. I do really wish they'd release the notepads in at least B5 size each time. I'd actually love it if they were big enough to cover pages in all the journal sizes (so enough to work with the 8x8 and maybe even letter size even though that's not as popular). If you use an A5 or something smaller, you can always cut the larger pieces from a notepad down to size, but if you use a larger notebook, you can't use the smaller colored pages to completely cover a white page (which is something I like to do). I'll still get it because I like having a variety of different dot grid colored paper, but I wish I could get all the colors in at least B5 size. This is a lovely collection though!
The wayfinder stickers/washi would be great if I was ever going to do a reading journal with 'Moby Dick', but since I have no intention of reading the old nautical works, there's no point for me to get any of them. Even the meteor shower set has no place in any of my journals. This whole release seems to speak to the non-girly journal creators and I think that's fucking awesome that they're giving more options to the community. 🥰

I got the meteor in a 8x8 for next years reading journal, olive carry case, vintage mermaid in a travelers, and lastly the meteor shower washi.
I hope that the carrying case will last me longer than the previous one did. Both the Canvas and the faux leather one didn't last long for me. The zipper broke on the faux leather one on both the original and the replacement. And the canvas strap broke off. Keep those fingers crossed!
I enjoy digital printables because I can print onto vellum or anything else

I was super excited about this release because the journals are beautiful. Alas, there are no A6 size, so my wallet is currently safe.
I absolutely love the Calliograhs but the acrylographs come in handy- the colors are beautiful
Stickers I love 1 & 2, maybe 4
Despite being certain that at least one notebook is coming in the Summer sub box (I haven't watched the spoilers or sneak peeks yet, because I don't), I'm probably going to get the Meteor book in A5. And both the acrylographs and calliographs (bc I LOVE THEM and I'm a sucker) and I think the meteor washi set. And ALSO the bluescale notepad, all my favorite blue colors. Not that interested in the other washi designs or the stamps, stickers, etc. this time around. Glad to see the sticker binder coming back - not one that I use since I have way too many stickers and would need six of them to accommodate everything, but I know people love them.

I wasn’t going to buy more A&O books because they changed paper types (more waxy so my ink doesn’t dry fast enough) in my last few orders. But I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist these. They are too perfect for me with the square-rigged ship and compass - plus general color scheme.

I love the first two sets of Washi, I’m originally from New Orleans and live a little more than an hour away about 7 miles north of the beach. I like them all and do agree that the one with the fish in set 3 should be more of a teal or aquamarine.
The compass one is beautiful and it reminds me of me of one of your theme where you had the rope. I loved it.

I have never bought from A&O, but I think the Compass and Meteor Shower journals will find their way onto my credit card. I have all ready made a note in my journal for tomorrow to make an account … I quite enjoyed this video after a long day at work, it was nice to spend it with your smiling face 😊💜

I love the compass sqr. I've never wanted the creativity case before, but they've gone and put a guitar strap on the olive one I may not be able to resist!!! Also, BTW, the "solar system thing" is called a nautical armillary sphere. I looked it up, because I have a couple i bought at a thrift store. And the fabric closure you keep calling a "pop" is called a snap, in the US at least. So when you say pop and my brain says snap...I suddenly find myself craving rice crispy treats. So good!

To me the mermaid washi tapes are the most cohesive and beautiful although not my style
I think the compass looks best on the square, but I would like it better without the anchors and/or in a different color. I am hoping to get a square ship and B5 (or A5) falling star.
I think the part that irks me about the compass on the square is that the anchors don't line up with the in-between directions (NE, SE, SW, NW) 😝
I have the original sticker binder from last year ( it was the fall right or no it was winter - it came out a release or two before the kit club. Anyway it is very nice and an excellent way to store the kit club (which I resubscribed to because the one from go wild and the one for June were really cute)
Journals: my favorite is the ship.
Washi ratings: 1 and 4 are my favorites with 3 following behind.
Stickers: What an upset 2 is!!! It is so much better than the washi version. And I love the representation for 3, and for stickers being stickers, I'd say it is my favorite.
The digital option is super nice for the stickers. For people who want matchy matchy for an entire journal, that totally would be a good way to go.
Another smashing job Jess - I hope A&O appreciate what a nice job you do for them. This is my first seasonal release - so I’m super excited!! I definitely want the compass journal in an A5. I can’t decide between the ship or the mentors! I used to be a Stampin up demonstrator and I LOVE stamping in my journals. Lots of “How to” videos out there for you. grab that rabbit hole and run!!

The sticker binder can be used for the washi tape you're storing flat (after cutting out the elements) 😂... There, you have a use for it.

Love the notepads... how do you incorporate the colored pages into your journals? Other uses?
I love that teal...I like the height that the TN size gives them, as if falling from a greater height. (I'm not a big dot grid person, but Must Have the Teal. The large constellation is Orion. :) (The thing above the books in the Meteor Shower theme looks like a 3D astrolabe but I couldn't see it well.)
I think the red is more of a coral/salmon due to the sunrises and sunsets at sea
This collection reminds me of Our Flag Means Death, so my wallet is in trouble! I need all the washi sets but the compass, the calliographs, & the black creativity case. I love the A5 Wayfinder & Meteor Shower journal, so I'm tempted there. I actually like the Compass best in square because it reminds me of what you would see on an old world map. I'm still deciding on the stickers to go with the washi (if only I had a better printer for the printables!).
I'd hope, too, that long anchors don't ruin it for anyone... seeing as most of the large anchors that hang off the side of ships (via a hole far above the water line) are long like that. 🙃
I love your commentary! I also LOVE the compass journal. Not sure what size yet. I have gotten comfortable with square journals, but I agree, the design looks a bit stretched in the square. My husband has fallen in love in with Wonderstruck journal, so we'll be getting that too. I don't know if I can justify the meteor journal... but wow it's pretty. We'll see. I still have backorders coming AND a subscription box so... maybe I shouldn't go TOO overboard! 😅

I grew up up around boats so I love boats and all things nautical- my dad was in the navy and later became a naval architect- thus my fascination began! The only thing that freaks me out about the see are the super deep sea creatures- not ever a problem
The dot grid ruler does have the notch, unfortunately. Otherwise, I've found it so useful in not having to count out boxes.

I think I’m going to get most of the meteor stuff if I can. And the stamp set because ai’m a sucker for stamps. I have the ruler/stencil and notches are incredibly annoying. I’m not going to get too attached to anything because this launches while I’m at work and I might end up with nothing like last release.

Since I'm skipping the sub box, I'm going to kind of make my own nautical one with this collection and get the B5 compass, B6 wayfarer, compass and meteor washi, and then compass and meteor stickers.
So excited for this collection because my birthday is coming up! This is part of what I'm treating myself to!

Ok, dishes washed, and I'm back at the sticker binder part. Hahahaha Thanks for the "not saying anything". I didn't intend to do the thing, but now I really won't. 🥳
Thankfully, I am not really into much of the accessories, though I MIGHT get the tape with the Lighthouse/Seaguls/Waves because I'd really like to start sending snail mail to my father in law an he looooves the ocean. His house decor is ocean themed ^-^ . as for Myself, I plan on getting a square of the Wayfinder, the Compass, and the Meteor Shower, then a Traveler for the Vintage Mermaid. Two of the Squares will be for Reading Journals and one for a Long Term collection, and the Travelers will be for ink/pen swatches. However.. being out of bed by 7am my time will be difficult.. so lets see if I can even make it on before its all sold out. I mean, I wake up at 7 anyways.. its just getting out of bed that will be the struggle lol --- I'm really hoping the textures don't bother me much, but I suppose I wont know if I don't try! and I need squares. -.-

I REALLY need a TN size for something I want to do next year, but I’m really not sure which one I like best. I was going to go for the mermaid one because I don’t have anything in that colour, but I really like the ship one.. but seeing your chat I like the meteor one too.. not sure I’m in love enough with any of them but I’m suffering from FOMO in case I can’t get another one later in the year lol
EDIT: ok, i was good! i didnt buy anything... decided the colour of the mermaid, whist unusual was not really my vibe, and the ship and the meteor have that linen-y cover which is not my favourite as they seem to get very fluffy very quickly... feeling good!

Funny you find the square compass not for you. For me it’s the only one that makes sense 😂 I like the wayfinder because of the Peter Pen vibes. I don’t like the meteor, but do love the colour. Couldn’t they have switched the colors with the ship? 😭 And sea green is beautiful but pearl foil is barely visible on this. And I don’t like the mermaid. I really hoped for a sea animal. Don’t know if I’m going to get notebooks from this release, but I have some time to think about it. For now, I’m thinking square compass and TN wayfinder maybe. I can finally order my fall and spring notebooks this week at a Dutch stockist.
I'm doing all these comments to drive interaction for the algorithm. 💜 For myself my list has the Meteor B5 (I switched to it this year to make 1 book hold a full year), the square Wayfinder (I don't do reading journals, but it will be my choice if I start), and the calliographs. I'm thinking about getting the storybook that I passed on during the 1st run, but it will depend on what else they've found (as mentioned at the bottom as being "too much to list"). I'm getting the sub box but I'm really worried the larger book is lined. I don't use lined books unless they're cheap and disposable, since I only invest time and creative energy into the expensive stuff, and lined notebooks just don't look nice no matter what decoration is put in thanks to the lines going through the works. I tried with the Cozy Cafe lined square... It hurts my ocd soul to look at it.

I think I normally see a compass on a more rectangular book and the one square size seems off, visually. Not bad just off.
The notches would be annoying. It would be better if they denoted the 1/2 and 1/3 on the ruler with a different color or an extra mark by the numbers.
Number 4 if I would choose any but prefer a vintage nautical with more realistic images.

@@JashiiCorrin I decided amongst the bitoon, mildliners (the pale greys/browns), Hethrone, and around 250 other brush markers (inc. 20 calliographs from sub boxes) I have all of those colours covered. I really just wanted them for the line possibilities (what's usually pale brown or grey in your journals). Not that it saved me any money. B5 Meteor, Square Way Finder, Square Book Stack, shipping insurance = $160 USD. I'm telling myself that's next years journal, and 2 future reading or writing related options. 😅
I absolutely LOVE that teal notebook but I don't think it matches the rest of the collection. Not that that'll stop me buying it! For the full cover designs, they look like they've just been stretched to fit the square notebooks which is a shame as I love a square size. I thought the same with the purple one from the last collection that the design was my favourite but it looked bad on a square notebook.

You are far more bothered by the ocean than I’d expect for someone who lives on an island. 😜 I love the ocean in general but I am not at all interested in going underwater with breathing assistance, whether scuba or submarine. Anything where if it breaks I am going to suffocate, I am not a fan. Won’t see me lining up for space travel for the same reason.
