    With the Zoom you can zoom in and out w/ the Zoom and at 1080p30 it's feels like you are 10x closer than you are. The youtube videos don't do justice. Also looking backwards when it's orbiting is nice as you can strategically make it where you want to do a backward curving shot on something. You can just 60fps and motionflow in Resolve. I turn 30fps 4k vids into 60 w/ it.

    GJ BRO, I upgraded recently to m2p , but I think taht POI on m1p was better and more precise, because it was base on gps lock on that poi, and this Poi on M2p is based by optical parameters, the old one was more complitate to started because you had to fly above the POI, correct me if I am wrong...

    • @samuelekman2531
      @samuelekman2531 Před 5 lety +1

      You can do both on the M2P. I agree that the GPS Poi is more accurate but the visual poi is alot more convenient.

    Thanks Dylan for all your videos. I've been flying for 7 years, but never took the time to learn the special features...until now. Anyway, I have a few questions about the different modes. First, if there are obstacles (like trees) in the path of the drone, will it crash? I suspect yes. Another question is with regards to Tap Fly Mode. Does the drone recognize the object as it's approaching and adjust itself higher and quicker if necessary to avoid hitting? I often do flights approaching buildings and then fly over, and hoping this mode is the perfect fit but with the ability to avoid hitting the building. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • @LanceCadena
    @LanceCadena Před 2 lety

    POI use to have to fly over the subject. mark it, then fly back and hit start. Do you remember having to do that? Can you still do that with the mavic 2? I want to create a light painting with the circle of the drone. However it will not lock on doing it the way you show in your video as the object will be too dark and I don't want to have to light it. do you know if the old way is possible?

    Is there a way to get the drone to take pictures as it is flying around the POI?

  • @cayrick
    @cayrick Před 6 lety +1

    Dylan, suppose I decide to do a POI around a skyscraper. For whatever reason I set my altitude to 1/2 the height of the bldg. As it swings around the back of the bldg it will lose contact with the radio. If contact is lost for more than 10 secs. will the drone go into return home and head for the bldg. and then the sensors will cause it to hover as it gets too close to the bldg. This assumes the RTH height is set lower than the height of the bldg. Do I have that right?

    • @leegenix
      @leegenix Před 6 lety

      FAA rules say that you can fly over the 400 foot AGL if you are within a few hundred feet of the structure. Your Mavic 2 Pro should have the Obstacle Avoidance enabled, just to be safe.

    Hey - Love the video - BUT can you set waypoints manually like the original mavic - I think its stupid setting waypoints via a map!! as you can't frame your shot - there is no way of accurately framing your waypoint's height, angle, gimbal to frame properly, after all photography & videography is a visually sport not a plotting art you make on a map?? Please, your knowledge will be very appreciated.
