Salutations friends! Today I am reviewing Amyris Femme and Amyris Homme from Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
Amyris is a wood formerly known as West Indies sandalwood, which draws its name from the Greek amyron, “intensely fragrant”:

Thanks for the review! I got a travel sized Amyris Femme and have been really enjoying it. On me it smells a lot more floral than expected but in a good way. So I went on CZcams to check on reviews and surprisingly there are not so many of them! But I knew I could find your reviews sooner or later considering MFK is your favorite house (you will eventually collect them all I think). And vióla! Thanks for the thorough reviews as always. Your are my niche fragrance Bible.
This MFK was one of my haul from my last trip to London. The rep for Atelier Cologne noticed some of the frags I gravitated towards and recommended the Amyris.

U’re definitely one of my fav frag reviewers. But i’m sorry to say that on me, amyris pour femme smells exactly similar as balenciaga’s rosabotanica..
Love the femme version. I have a bunch of the travel bottles so I can throw it in al of my bags. It reminds me a little of Chanel and I love the dry down. Not super sweet or powdery. It’s “just right”. My bf wears aqua celestial and I love the scent on him. Oddly though, neither one of us is a fan of baccarat rouge. I used to work in a hospital and it gives off a similar scent to a product we used on patients.
I’ve actually heard a lot about that! Apparently there’s a note of band aids (plasters) or hospitals in BR540

Thank you for the review. Did you compare Amyris Femme with the extrait? I can't understand the difference although I have a sample of both. I want the one that is less powdery.
Im also seeking a review of these two in comparison
What are your thoughts on a man wearing the feminine version. I am going to get a sample but the notes look good to me. I don't mind unisex or slight feminine leaning. Overtly feminine fragrances where I can only see a woman wearing I can't do though.
Is the male that different from the ladies? If you had to choose just one for a woman?
