This is such a good idea! I’m using my Erin Condren compact vertical in the same way, but this makes me want to try a compact vertical in rings!

What’s the difference between half letter and A5? They seem similar. Do you still use half letter disc bound planners?
Half letter I believe is slightly taller and less wide as A5. Im currently not in a discbound but its still set up from my previous setup and I look at every so often 👀 I do have a discbound sticker book that I love.

I’m always so confused between the A5, Half Letter, and A5 Wide sizes! Aren’t some of them interchangeable?
Im only familiar with Half Letter - sorry!! I do know A5 is close but still slightly bigger then HL.
They can all fit in the same size rings, but won’t all fit in the same covers. Basically, the hole placement and sizes are the same, but the paper sizes are different. A5 is an international paper size that is slightly wider and shorter than HL. Letter paper is a US size and cut in half (HL), it is slightly taller and narrower than A5. HL in an A5 binder will look fine since the variation is so slight, but it might annoy you if you used both sizes in the same binder since they will be slightly different. A5 wide is like an inch wider than regular A5, so it really needs a separate binder. A5 wide is more like an EC size paper, but it can fit in an A5 wide binder. A5 wide inserts will stick out of an A5 binder quite a lot and regular A5 and HL inserts will look too small to fit in an A5 wide even though the paper will fit in the rings.
