Not only kenobi wanted to avoid detection on tattooine but he still living in sorrow for cutting down his former apprentice on Mustafar with his (kenobi) own lightsaber
I always just assumed he didn't want anyone to know he was a Jedi, the basic answer. Didn't realize it was a little more complicated than that haha. Thanks for the video. I remember those comics that were wedged in between the mainline Star Wars comics. It was called "The Journal of Obi Wan Kenobi" I think. My memory is bad. So these videos are good refreshers.
If he didn't want anyone to know he was a Jedi then he probably shouldn't have continued to wear Jedi robes for the following 19 years! 🤣

Not sure why people can’t accept Windu defeated Palps. George Lucas stated it already, it’s canon. Palpatine was exceptional in the force, but he couldn’t beat Mace nor Yoda.

Windu only won because of vaapad. If mace Windu used the other "normal" lightsaber styles like his signature juyo, mace would've lost. He only won because he used vaapad. Must I remind you, dooku casually beats mace Windu in every sparring match they fought when dooku was a Jedi.
@@arsonman48 No he didn't, not in a lightsaber duel, Yoda unarmed palpatine using his pure lightsaber skills, their force power was quiet equal but Yoda only lost their force fight because he was smaller therefore he would be sent more downwards.

Especially considering Mace's fighting style specifically channeled dark side oponents anger/power back towards them. Mace wasnt a better duelist than yoda unless he was fighting a powerful dark side user.

Mace’s lightsaber form was built to beat Very Powerful Darksiders, like Palpatine. Which is why Mace beat The Emperor while Yoda would have been killed If he fought longer.
@@sharp7079 No Yoda would not have been killed. Palpatine was getting scared as they fought, in fact, Yoda beat him in a lightsaber foght but was on equal footing in a force fight.
Exactly Mace Windu definitely could've beaten Palpatine and probably did if Anakin hadn't shown up to interfere.

On your last point about mace, I don't think he thought he was the chosen one. I do however believe he was expecting someone far more jedi-like than anakin. The chosen one would be someone in his mind that thinks through every decision and makes the most accurate and precise decisions.
George Lucas has gone on record saying that Windu beat Palpatine
I feel like there will be scenes in the kenobi show of him having nightmares about his duel with Anakin, order 66, the hologram of Anakin killing younglings, and any other trauma he has had to deal with in the past. Maybe similar to Boba Fett getting flashbacks about his father dying. I think this would be a cool way to show us how much stress he really has to deal with.
I have a feeling we won't see kenobi use his lightsaber until a climatic fight in the final episode. I mean he's probably going to use a lightsaber. The promo artists wouldn't have put one in his hand if he wasn't going to use it.
He was trying to keep a low profile, I think. The time he was in was the most dangerous because of The Empire. His life, Luke's and his families life were at risk so Obi Wan couldn't take any chances. He was smart.

Well the basic answer is that he went to exile and all that stuff, but if we are talking about the need of defending himself here, then he didn't really need a lightsaber to defend himself, in the comics (canon) he became the bodyguard of a Jawa clan, and the Jawa clan wasn't getting attacked anymore ever since Kenobi became their bodyguard.
Remember Obi-Wan did take out and use his lightsaber in the Mos Eisley bar when those two criminals were harrasing Luke.
At that point he knew it was time to GTFO. He was trying to keep a low profile, and went all in believing he'd find his crew and ship in the cantina.
Why did he use his lightsaber in episode 4 when he cut off that guy's arm harassing Luke ? And why didn't anyone say anything about him being a Jedi ?
I honestly thought that it was to lay low but was also strange that he whipped his lightsaber out without hesitation in the bar… now I’m glad I know why! 😁
In the bar he was looking for transport off the planet so I would imagine that escaping detection was not quite so important. And it looked good in the movie. :)

Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. Lucas even states in an old interview that Windu beat him. I wish I could find it so I could source it but sadly I cannot.

Without watching the video I'm guessing cause he wanted to keep a low profile. Like the Star Wars mmorpg, Star Wars Galaxies, if a jedi used force powers or a lightsaber in front of npcs or other players they ended up on the bounty hunter terminals.
Fact that Palpatine planted Anakin within the Jedi instead of training Anakin himself is proof that Anakin would not have being able to outright destroy the Jedi through brute force. Kenobi and Mace are just too strong.

I'm very anxious to see the Kenobi series because he was one of my favorite characters of the SWU.
Secondly, I'm excited because of the hype attached to it & I loved the way Ewan Mc Gregor portrayed Kenobi. It was as if the late great Sir Alec Guinness was raised from the afterlife every time I saw Ewan Mc Gregor on screen.
Also seeing Hayden Christensen together with Ewan(Mc Gregor) is such a joy & has been a long time coming. In my opinion, there was such chemistry between them; it's hard to imagine one without the other.
If the info I've heard is correct, there was some mention of sword play between Vader & Kenobi after their fight on Mustafar which I hope, wouldn't flatter to deceive.
On a side note, I'd like to see something done on Mace Windu who I think was such an intriguing character. Windu was overflowing with such arrogance, that one didn't need to be a rocket scientist to be able to pick up on it.

Because he went into exile , I assume that Obi- Wan / Ben Kenobi wanted to give off the impression that he was a simple hermit and to protect Luke Skywalker
He used his lightsaber against Darth Maul in the desert for 2 reasons:
1) Defence
2) If he died , who’d protect Luke Skywalker?
See thats the thing Obi-Wan did go into exile meaning he can't leave Tattooine just like Yoda in Dagobah. I read alot of peoples comments in the past and they want him to go off world. But he can't as he is watching luke the whole time I mean if he did who would protect luke when he's gone Ahsoka I don't think so. So I believe we'll only see him on Tattooine for the whole 6 episodes. However I mean disney can retcon anything to make a better story so idk. We'll see.

So idk him going off world before a new hope eh idk I mean I know yoda said he was going to teach Obi-Wan how to comune to the living force as that was the final lesson but I believe they could connect through the force unless like I said disney retcons certain story elements from the past and idk I mean for them to duel in the Kenobi series kinda ruins the aspect of there time on the Desth Star but I guess when vader said "I was once but a learner" i guess it can mean anything really at this point. Mace Windu was a perfect person to take out Palps. His raw force abilities wasn't as powerful but his abilities were a perfect counter to his.

I think we’re going to see A LOT of trauma from Kenobi in the new series. Having to do what he did to Anakin, what happened to the Jedi order, and even just unpacking the overall brutality of the Clone Wars! I expect to Kenobi to be an incredibly deep and humanizing tale of the masters time in isolation

I think the 3rd Sister Reva could be Barriss Offee because with the clues we learned about her, she was a Padawan and also chose to serve the Empire as an Inquisitor over death during Order 66. If we look at the actress who played Barriss Offee, Nalini Krishan, she is a woman on color, she was also 23 playing an 18 year old Barriss Offee back in 2000 when Attack of the Clones started filming. Also if we look at Moses Ingram who is playing the 3rd Sister Reva, she is also a woman of color. Barriss Offee would be 31 years old at the time the Obi-Wan Kenobi series takes place. Moses Ingram is 28 years and could easily pass for 31. She also has the perfect facial structure and skin complexion to play a Barriss Offee and would look just like her especially with the blue eyes, green skin and tattoos. 👌🤯 Technically she would still be a new character "as Star Wars Meg said Jason Ward mentioned in her video with the Vader thumbnail". Just like how Darth Vader is technically a new character and no longer Anakin. I also believe that Dave Filoni specifically left Barriss alive during the Clone Wars because he wanted to use her in the future. What do you guys think? 🤔🤓

7:00 I think the reason mace won the fight against palatine whereas Yoda lost is because is mace's situation he and palpatine were mainly duelling and weren't using as much force power, whereas when Yoda and palatine were fighting many more force powers were used. Although palatine is an amazing duelist I think most of his strength lies in his force power not his dulling and that's why he won to Yoda but lost to mace

I like to think palpatine had this thing all planned out and he won by smarts and luck. It’s way more exciting to think that the whole thing with anakin was a gamble and he just got by by the skin of his teeth, he took a big gamble telling anakin about the sith, he knew anakin would come, but whether he would save palpatine was a gamble he won, and while he was strong, mace windu had overpowered him.
