Very Informative review but where's Tom , you cannot have an Endorphin Pro 4 review without Tom ,his passion and excitement for the Pro 3 was the reason i purchased my Pro 3 ,come on guys 😊
Clearly he’ll have his own video on this shoe. Be fair it’s a relatively long video anyway; they could edit all of Tom’s eulogising out. I’m going to predict he’ll advise it’s greatly enjoyable but if you can get the Pro 3 at a cut down price then what’s not to like.
Judging from all initial opinions, it sounds to me like the Pro 4 has been design as a marathon shoe for the masses and that Saucony are targeting the 3hr+ marathon runners of the world. To which I am certainly in that category of and will hopefully be breaking 4hrs this year. Not sure about that design around the heal of the midsole 😬

Similar to Endorphin Speed then. Saucony trying to reach a wider customer base by making it less aggressive. As a middle of the pack runner I'm fine with that since I want comfort to finish the marathon but not sure I'm willing to spend that much money for it...
Is this model wider than Pro 3? I've had issues where insole seemed to raise up at the sides and that would dig into my midfoot. It also felt tapered in the forefoot which squeezed the foot uncomfortably.
@@i.p2088 I tried that but it didn't work. I believe that size up had too much material over the forefoot as it bunched up, heel started slipping and it still felt uncomfortable in the midfoot. Overall, I believe I tried multiple colorways and different sizes without success. One of the few shoes that didn't fit regardless of the effort spent to make it happen.
Great reviwes however Saucony have created a little bit of a homegoal not getting an 8/8.5 to Tom for this group review, if ever there was someone to say to pro3 lovers .. they have not broken the 04 it would have been Tom , while Kieran who has a similiar foot shape to me is probably more applicable (I did not listen to him on the adidas pro 3 when it came out and my feet and wallet payed the price) , Tom's performances speaks volumes in the Saucony pro line .. tsk supplier.

Either way, agreed that the prices are completely out of sync with their costs - I think most large well-known manufacturers have worked out how to manipulate enough people to pay extortionate prices so that they no longer have to bother with scale anymore. Perhaps Reebok is the only exception to this rule.
I used the Pro3 last April in Boston and it did well for me. Curious if you are saying that version was a top racer compared to the Pro4. The Elite felt a bit too aggressive for me when I tried it on.
@@levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183 Yes though I don't have the Pro 4 yet. Pro 3 was very capable for racing. Better for most people then the Elite. So Saucony downgrade the Pro 4 a bit to make it slow for a race to push people to get the Elite.. Maybe now the Speed 4 and Pro 4 are quite the same?

@@i.p2088According to some reviewers this may well be the case. I’ll be interested in more direct comparisons with v3 before buying my next pair. Some say this one is every bit as fast for forefoot or midfoot strikers (I’m midfoot) but the softer heel is the main difference. Maybe the fit is different too as they’ve changed the upper, and whether that’s an improvement of not might depend on foot volume.

Remember the controversial black and white checkerboard launch colorway of v2 of the Endorphin series? So many people complained about it but soon there were a dozen alternative colors. My favorite endorphin pro line is the first ones & pro 3… seems like pro 4s are a pretty versatile shoe quite like the speed 4s.

I have the Speed 4 not sure this one is dofferent enough to justufy getting both.
The previous versions used the same foams (PB), this time the Pro 4 uses some of the Elite's foam (HG) apart from PB.
I need a lightweight daily trainer.. Loved the Speed 2 but found Speed 3 mushy after an hour or so.. Sounds like the Pro 4 replaced the Speed 2 ❓

Maybe Saucony intentionally made this shoe this way so people buy the elite for racing.
That's what i'm thinking... They want bigger seperation and shoes specialized so you have to buy the whole line for a rotation.

Yes. Realised that after a 20 mile run with the Pro 3. Had to buy half a size up.

It wasn't for me. In fact Speed 3 is a bit shorter. Both true to size (UK 8) but Pro 3 feels a bit wider in the forefoot.

Pro 4 is not a top racer. For that Saucony has the Elite. I have 2 pairs of the Pro 3 😂

Great looking shoes - but is it just me or do they have an enormous Nike swoosh on them???!!!!
It only looks like it on the launch colorway. I saw a black version and it doesn’t stand out at all as separate from the main color.
I don't like the colour ways. Hope there will be some better ones in the future.
