- As with all of the John Danaher Series, I highly recommend this well made video. When It goes on sale at bjjfanatics.com, you can get it for just under $100.
The front headlock is readily available in a variety of situations, but is probably most used in a scramble situation.
If you are a wrestler, you will pick up the details on this video very quickly.
In this video, I will show the basic front headlock position, high wrist position, and darce finish. I do not execute as well as John Danaher, so please buy the video if you want to see a real expert!
I didn’t look for this kind of video, but man thanks for mentioning that diesel squeezl move, prayers go out to you
🙏 Thank you sir!
Thanks for the details. This will help this white belt immensely.
His Kimura system was great
Cool review. I after watching Danahers fhs had my son drill the high wrist 100reps for 100days. Was a cool challenge. Definetly improved his high wrist. I'm thinking to use a dummy to run a 2to4step leg combo. XReps for XDays. On top of live rolls.
I appreciate your enthusiasm🙏
Thank you!
Awesome video thanks for sharing!
I've been having trouble with the chinstrap grip. I can't get a nice tight grip on the chin and my opponents are usually able to peel off my fingers easily. I've theorized this may be because I am not putting enough driving force into the back of my opponents neck ? What is the advantage of a chinstrap rather than a fully locked grip which seems more secure ? Thank you!
The chinstrap allows for enhanced mobility. When you get the chinstrap, make sure you are not camping in one position. Use your shoulder to put pressure onto the neck, stay off your knees, and move to a better offensive position. You can also”bounce and go” like a wrestler-pull the opponent head to the mat a couple times while you are getting to the back.
I heard from a black belt, that the fundemantal video also where very good, guard retention not good
Thanks for the great vid, stay healthy
Thank you!
Is it possible to apply the mount movement in jiu-jitsu without the suit to a man with a large stomach, or is it impossible?
With large stomachs I just try side control.
❤
I'm sorry I was in the shot near the end XD I did not realize it.
Your presence only enhances the video
I know this is super random but my brother and I use the same mats you have to roll in our garage. How did you minimize the space on the side of the mats? When we attach the mats to each other using the Velcro there’s still half an inch of space between the mats. It’s not a lot but just enough to be there and doesn’t look like you have the same issue. Thanks!
This was our old gym. I think the mats were just higher quality than the typical folding mats. I don’t remember what brand they were, but they worked pretty well. Our current mat, which has no visible seams are what we prefer. Sorry I don’t have a secret trick for you 😁
@efficiencyjiujitsu417bjj2 no worries! Just working with what we have for now! Better than nothing
How does he do that strangle. Is it again a rotation, tension of the muscles or a pull. Don't find that in the dvd, unlike his other dvds.

It is possible to mount someone with a very large waistline without the gi, but side control and north south positions are generally more stable in those situations.
