    Got to have an Axis, no doubt it. Andrew knows his stuff as well as Gerry Cole his salesman. I do not have a fork lift that can lift 2500 lbs. Once I make arrangements for unloading an Axis, my order is going to be placed with Gerry. I’m a one horse operation with a most capable helper. She works circles around some men I view on CZcams. I taught her everything she knows about processing firewood, even a power chainsaw. Safety first iis what I preach. Looking forward to what revolutionizes my operation.

I’ve been watching the Axis being used by Gord, GP OUTDOORS and the crew of friends that work together in Canada, and they’re making your machine work good around there. Thanks to all of you folks for sharing and caring to make it so everyone can work easier as we age. Best wishes to you all, Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻✋🏻✋🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Question about the Eastonmade AXIS Wood Splitter:
    I see that the up and down motion of the wedge is controlled by the foot operated lever. For someone that does not have very good use of their legs, for example : Arthritis in the Knees; would it be possible to have a hand operated lever installed, instead of the foot lever ?

    I'm keen to see if you make a machine "inspired" by the WP840. Seeing the Axis come to proof of concept I just know you'd address all the issues I have with the 840 if you were to create a new "mini processor" to accompany your line of splitters. I'd like to give you a call if thats OK and throw some ideas around with you

  • @slytrader
    @slytrader Před 3 lety +3

    I watched Chris in Wisconsin using an AXIS. In using this machine he found out if you are splitting a log that is not cut straight it can skip out and possible hit the operator or anyone standing nearby. This is mostly due to the shiny slippery surface you would be splitting on. Due you think fabricating some holes right under the splitting wedge on the deck would help alleviate this problem? Holes would not interfere with the skidding motion of the wood being worked on.

    A couple questions for you. First, how much wood does that bag system hold? A face cord? What brand is that bag, not familiar with that style. Also, once the bag is loaded with wood how do you unload it from the stand? Thanks.

    • @EastonmadeWoodSplitters
      @EastonmadeWoodSplitters  Před 4 lety

      Bag holds 35 cubic feet. A little less than a face cord. The bag is from bag supplies canada. I lift the skid up to get the loos of the bag off the rack and then pick up the bag with the forks through the loops

    • @EastonmadeWoodSplitters
      @EastonmadeWoodSplitters  Před 3 lety

      7' is pretty accurate. Haven't thought to much more about it. The biggest probably having a longer attached conveyor is the balance of the machine. You could buy the machine without an attached elevator and purchase one of out stand alone units
