Like how you can always distil the character of the details instead of meticulously trying to copy a shape of a little highlight.

I've been aspiring to start oil painting for many years and I've just taken the plunge. As I'm 60, I've to be realistic about the level I'll be able to achieve, there's so much to learn and practice, but it's an exciting path being guided by such a wonderful artist like you.
