    Seems like a lot of power being lost though the drive train or does your dyno just read low? Most dyno numbers I have seen with headers intake and tune are close to 500whp. I know different dyno's can read high or low.

    • @EuroSurgeonNz
      @EuroSurgeonNz  Před 2 lety +10

      Truly love this question. In short: dynojet (what you see most of the time cause they are cheap AF) read about 17 percent higher. Long answer: a) to a tuner, the numbers are irrelevant. We work with what’s called “delta” aka percentage gain from stock to a tune. Stock c63 makes 350 ish WHP on my Mainline. 420whp tune+Decat (not headers). That’s around 70 whp delta. 20% gain. 20% delta.
      With long tube headers I usually get to around 440whp if the car is healthy. That makes it 90 whp gain, aka 26% delta. Need to check that with dynojet, however the key information to reading And dyno chart, is to see what the baseline was. What did the car put out stock?
      Subsequently we should see roughly 400whp as baseline on that 500whp tuned car.
      But then there are two more factors to dissect, was it inertia based dyno, or was it eddy braked dyno? Or was it hub dyno, and if so, what manufacturer. And then a complete rabbit hole: what wheels and tyres. I can do a 2 hour long video on that, that will cook most brains :) will be pure geek material :)

    simple answer, remap it, and voila you have 510hp, mine is stage 2 with a miltek secondaru decat and miltek backbox pushing 535.9hp and 649nm. These engines are the same engine as the e63 but have different exhausts so do the remap and just a decat en 530 is easy, get a full exhaust and you make 560hp 670nm which is about the max without putting too much money on it if you wanna stay N/A that is.

      What tune it is, is highly irrelevant. You can’t tell me that it’s possible to create a max power file, that will be “best power for all”.
      Also, we lost ethanol in New Zealand. No more corn juice, thanks to COVID. Now it’s sold as hand sanitizer for triple the price.
