Atlee brought the mass side of Shah Rukh Khan in last year’s biggest blockbuster Jawan that generates unparalleled euphoria in cinemas. So what’s next for the director? A report by Bollywood Hungama said Atlee has been in touch with Salman Khan for two years and is planning to take his next film many notches higher. And the cherry on the cake is Superstar Rajinikanth.
“Sun Pictures will be producing the film and they share a family-like bond with superstar Rajinikanth. Atlee on the other hand has been in touch with Salman Khan for the last two years. They are confident to get both Rajinikanth and Salman Khan on board,” a trade source told the portal.
The latest angry young man of Hindi films is Shah Rukh Khan ’s Azad from Atlee’s blockbuster Jawan , which released on September 7. At first, going by the promos and promotions, Khan felt like the antagonist of the story, especially when he mouthed the hero-villain dialogue. When you discover what the makers have in store for us, you realise he’s nothing but a victim and not a villain. He asks a minister to solve a puzzle and says the number 10281, and the entire room is left puzzled; this is the number of farmers that have died by suicide in the film and Azad is angry, agitated, and shattered.
Salman Khan was last seen in 'Tiger 3' with Katrina Kaif. The superstar has many other films in his bag including 'Tiger Vs Pathaan', 'Kick 2', and 'The Bull'. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Animal'. She will soon reprise her role Srivalli in Allu Arjun’s 'Pushpa: The Rule', which will hit theaters on December 6. She will also share the screen with Dhanush in 'Kubera', Dheekshith Shetty in 'The Girlfriend', and Vicky Kaushal in 'Chaava'.
