I am also a Tamil person I am saying my opinion every flood time they are giving 500tmc to 600tmc water per year we need 20 to 25 tmc only, in mettur dam we can store 100 tmc balance water is going wast to bay of Bengal, only small portion of cauvery river is running in Karnataka but in that it self they have built 3 dams we cannot plam them they are taking care of their peoples necessary,major part of cauvery river is running in tamilnadu only,if we open the water from mettur dam there is no place to store the water we have to build check dam for every 5 kms in one check dam we can store 1 tmc of water,and there 1200+ temple ponds Village big small lakes in Bank of river cauvery we have to maintain all properly and inspect is water going in and coming out of the lake properly, there is big lake in bank of river cauvery which was built by chola king name is veeranam lake length is 11.2 kms breath is around 6 kms no it became small due to poor maintenance if we maintain all this lake ponds check dams we can store 300 to 350 tmc water if Karnataka didn't give water for 2 to 3 years we can manage,so please see the solution without fighting and blaming others,if I said anything wrong I am sorry thank you

Problem with your statement is it assumes that entire water from Cauvery is the property of Karnataka and it is within your whim to release the water to other state or not. This is not only false but also a really selfish and narcissistic POV. That river does not belong to a single state, as such it is not upto you people to decide when to release water from it and how much. You much abide by SC and release our share water regardless of factors affecting you. Water issue is faced by every state including TN even with water from Cauvery. That is a different issue which should be solved by building more infrastructures to manage available fresh water sources and using other advanced means like building desalination plants, waster water recycling, etc...

Even in m y relatives place in Mangalore they use well water for watering the field . It's very hard to get adjusted for both states . You Tamil and I Tamil 🤝 some times it's more.
Dam construction is possible only in hills and mountains. If you don't follow supreme court order and seeing karanataka as Pakistan and seeing other state as Indian better go and join with Pakistan.

I am also a Tamil person I am saying my opinion every flood time they are giving 500tmc to 600tmc water per year we need 20 to 25 tmc only, in mettur dam we can store 100 tmc balance water is going wast to bay of Bengal, only small portion of cauvery river is running in Karnataka but in that it self they have built 3 dams we cannot plam them they are taking care of their peoples necessary,major part of cauvery river is running in tamilnadu only,if we open the water from mettur dam there is no place to store the water we have to build check dam for every 5 kms in one check dam we can store 1 tmc of water,and there 1200+ temple ponds Village big small lakes in Bank of river cauvery we have to maintain all properly and inspect is water going in and coming out of the lake properly, there is big lake in bank of river cauvery which was built by chola king name is veeranam lake length is 11.2 kms breath is around 6 kms no it became small due to poor maintenance if we maintain all this lake ponds check dams we can store 300 to 350 tmc water if Karnataka didn't give water for 2 to 3 years we can manage,so please see the solution without fighting and blaming others,if I said anything wrong I am sorry thank you

Problem with your statement is it assumes that entire water from Cauvery is the property of Karnataka and it is within your whim to release the water to other state or not. This is not only false but also a really selfish and narcissistic POV. That river does not belong to a single state, as such it is not upto you people to decide when to release water from it and how much. You much abide by SC and release our share water regardless of factors affecting you.
Water issue is faced by every state including TN even with water from Cauvery. That is a different issue which should be solved by building more infrastructures to manage available fresh water sources and using other advanced means like building desalination plants, waster water recycling, etc...

Till admk was there in TN and bjp was there in karnataka this issue was not there since 2018 even during terrific draught, now they have come back. All know who is the reason.

I have 2 solution for this.
1st tamilnadu build new dam end part of kaveri.
2nd during rain season ask dnt not open dam at there . Then whole land will be flood. Ask them discharge direct to sea. Not bypass tamilnadu land.

Brother I'm from Karnataka, our people are warm hearted we welcome everyone here and give them place stay, many language speaking people are here, we see everyone equally. Its not that we don't want to give Cauvery to neighbouring states, people of Karnataka is only facing water scarcity. I am Tamil born in in Kannada state . We use borwell water for other purposes and Kaveri water for cooking and drinking only. Even in m y relatives place in Mangalore they use well water for watering the field . It's very hard to get adjusted for both states . You Tamil and I Tamil 🤝 some times it's more.
