It's acrime that this concert didn't get released officially on DVD/Blu-ray! The Pompeii concert was great and I was there in person, but this just looks so much more mindblowing!!
I was at this one, and yeah it was unreal! The grass is always greener I suppose because I can't imagine seeing him in pompeii, what a special experience that must have been. But the Hollywood Bowl is the best venue I've ever been to. I flew from Florida to California for this concert. He used he whole bowl as a projector screen, it reminded my of their Pulse tour. Plus if you've ever seen the hollywood bowl, it sits right under the hollywood mountains, so the view behind the stage is just mountains. I still think about this concert all the time, a real dream come true. I can't tell you how lucky I feel having gotten to see Mr. Gilmour live. I've seen Roger 3 times but this was on another level of special.
I went to both Hollywood Bowl shows, I've been there many times and I have NEVER seen an artist use the entire Bowl as a projector screen like Gilmour did. It was an outstanding experience! I'd love to see it released on blu-ray...
you are absolutely correct. This should have been filmed professionally. hands down. the visuals were amazing, the venue iconic... even just a few songs as extras on the Pompeii DVD.. nope they gave us some shity stage in South America... I was disappointed
I went to this show, and it was amazing. I saw Pink Floyd a few times on the 1994 tour and I didn’t think anything could ever come close to that. This concert and they way they used the Hollywood bowl really gives pulse a run for it’s money. The new Mr Screen is so clear and crisp. It was like watching a HD tv. The lasers were brighter, more intense, and a lot more of them. They should have filmed and released this show. I paid a fortune for tickets to this concert and it was worth every penny. I’ve never seen footage of any other Gilmour show that was like this.
I've watched the live in Pompeii show. The band and performance wasn't nearly as good as the Hollywood Bowl show. The wife and I went to this show. It was awesome!
This takes me back to being at the 1994 Pink Floyd tour which ironically took it's stage design from the Hollywood bowl where the band had played many years before.
I have been thinking lately (since I picked up tickets to see him at the Hollywood Bowl in October) how much the stage of the bowl reminds me of the staging for Pulse!!!
I went to both hollywood bowl concerts, both phenomenal, thanks for sharing your videos. I have run like hell from up close so no fireworks but I will try to upload them. Please upload more if you have more, you had great seats right there in the middle.
Thanks, and your welcome! They were the super-seats set directly in the middle right below the apex of the pyramid spotlights!!! Best lighting show on the planet yeah?!
@@watchtoearn353 oh man! I thought when he said Australian he meant when Pink Floyd toured Australia. Glad I didn't check it out. Should be a felony to copy them!

and this concert was recorded?
@@victortitan2905 it might have been filmed, but nothing have ever surfaced besides audience recordings.

I am in Garden Box 1. :) Holy crap I just bought 2 tickets for Oct 30th. $1,900. Way up front too. Saw him in 2016 too at the Forum. The Master.

Every time he plays this it gets better
I drove from Arizona to SoCal to go to this show, my FIRST at the Bowl! Absolutely the most perfect night!
Flew from Southeastern Alaska...my first bowl show as well.
I sat next to a guy who drove from Arizona, maybe it was you haha. If so, we were the father/son duo who flew from Florida.
Thanks for sharing. Nice Show.......

@@mytunes47 Indeed, I hope they release a DVD with these two shows.
I was at second show too
I remember that after the fireworks on Run Like Hell, he said "what the fuck was that"
Haha that was hilarious, he did not say that on the 1st show.
@@eduardogutierrezcastillo2767 right!!! If you listen close you can hear it!!!
It almost looks like PULSE :D
PULSE (division bell tour 1994) stage was based on the hollywood bowl which Pink Floyd had played at many years before.
Check the australian pink floyd sorrow at Brighton 👍
Check the brithish Pink Floyd at Earls Court in 1994. 🤘😎🎸
Who the heck cares about the ones who copy Pink Floyd lol, pathetic
