Phew, just bought this online, then saw a bad review for it, but your video gave an honest look in, and for the price I paid on sale, I'm not mad at all 🎉 thanks.
In regards to removing the roller. I used a Bissel vac mop. I removed its brush by putting fingers into top of plastic cover and pulling it up. Might work the same on the genie.
just found someone throw one out in my basement, its decent but it couldnt handle to much dirt. its also interchangeable between dyson v6 and v8 parts :) which is cool i now use this only for the car since i have a v8 downstairs and a old v6 upstairs
@Taylor sure, it dies not stick due to suction, as the head is poorly designed that has a ridge that catches on thicker carpet. To overcome this the manufacturer has put a felt stop to try close the gap from head to floor, however it does not work for thicker carpet. On wood or tile floors the power brush does not even make contact with the floor, so there is no sticking problem as the head is on wheels that creates a large gap.
So good news my partner had to unscrew the head apart and it’s now working again, there was nothing obstructing it so we are still confused as why it was stuck. I searched the internet for the manual and the one you shared was the only one out there for the x5 but funnily enough it’s a complete different vacuum they have put on there. 😬 guess you get what you pay for sometimes haha. Thanks for your help!!!
Its not the suction that's the problem, the roller brush does not make contact with floor lol, it just spins around in mid air for show, does not touch floor.
Good honest review, thanks for posting!

Great review!
I like it because it is light for old ladies.

Good point about parts being interchangeable
Just bout the version that vacuums & mops at same time.
Parcel still in transit.
Will have to see if any good.
Paid $150 from Myers In Queensland.
Thanks for the review. Where did you buy and how much is the vacuum stand?
Ebay, around $30
Great video and I want one now but was wondering what's that stand is called, where can I buy one please!
I would recommend a devanti 2 in 1 150 watt stick vac not the mygenie. Just search ebay for stick vac stand.
Hi thanks for the review. Could you use it for the car? Does it have different nozzle attachments? Thanks in advance Sha
Sure, it is fine for a car
the high speed isnt meant for carpet i dont think, and there is always a relief valve somewhere you can open to make the suction not stick to carpet
Sorry but you are mistaken lol
@@aussie-wizzard1213 we’ll explain why then so I know

If head is connected properly , sounds like you got a dud. There are always a certain amount of duds
Hi where did you get the stand?
Ebay
Does anyone know how to get the brush out?! The manual I received must be the wrong one
Yes, that switch, push it and lift out brush at same time

No reset button
Mine in not charging so annoying only good for tiles I find but still not the best suction..

Hi, where to buy replacement battery
Thank you
They are throw away units
I don't think the battery is replaceable. Replacement filters not available either. I checked about 15mins. Before replying to your comment.
