The books scene were actually used by hackers in NYC and the names for them. Much of this movie was well researched. Watch JoBlo's video. The fact everyone keeps talking about how many computers Zero Cool crash is to show who is part of the community and who isn't. The Hackers knows the exact number 1507 but everyone else just says 1500.

Those actually are the most used passwords. People are stupid.
Edit: In the 90s. Some of the most common passwords were 123456, password, qwerty, letmein, shadow, baseball, football, dragon, 123321, and abc123.

No, the other kids on the roof were bird watching or something, that's why the door was propped open. Jonny Lee let the door close, which fucked them and him... because he didn't realize that the door was ajar for a reason.
