The potential of the Coyote is amazing. The fact that the coyote can make over 400whp n/a with basic mods and over 650rwhp for a long time just says something for how awesome the Coyote really is.
I am NOT a fan of muscle, but I cannot deny that the Coyote is a terriffic engine.

LS is so overused. Every time I hear those two letters, I just sigh. Coyotes are more expensive to work with, but they certainly sound better and can easily make the same power figures.

David. Smurf brought me to your channel. I have a 2013 gt premium in race red , six speed. You are proof that these cars are affordable , fun , and can handle being daily driven! As I do mine. I've got 37,300 miles on mine as I write this sitting in it. Had it for over a year now , bought at 17k. Smiles per gallon bro! Love your vids ( esp smurf ones ) so happy to hear you won't trade in because I have no desire to ever part with mine. Keep it up! Long live second gen coyotes.

The s197 coyote platform and now the s550 have always been my favorite mustangs. Yours was and still is so enticing to even just experience through a youtube video! Hey David. It's amazing how far your car and channel have come. Welcome to the 100,000 mile club. I'm at 131,000 miles on my 06 gt that i bought brand new in 2006. I'm almost ready to retire my baby. Transmissions going out, ac actuator motor is making noise, intake manifold is leaking coolant, paint is fading but I've had amazing memories with it. I'm about to move on to a 2015 5.0 and will put a roush blower on it. Have a great day!

David, it's your videos of Smurf that got me so in love with this year mustang. I traded in my 1994 cobra for a 13 gt premium with the Brembos and love it so dearly! I'm so happy to see you are going to try and keep it and it has been reliable. I too have always daily driven my mustangs and yes even through the New England winters. Got my car with 24k on the odometer so I am looking forward to driving this car for a very long time! Thanks for the videos~

I hope you get that running light issue sorted out, the running lights on that car are one of my favorite things about them, especially the taillights.

Actually, your experience with the Smurf Mustang has been pretty much my experience with all of the Fords I have owned. I've never had one of them let me down or leave me on the side of the road.

I was just thinking about selling my mustang because, times are a little tough for me right now, but you and the car itself show me that its so worth what you pay for. There aren't many cars that can give you this much and ask for so little in return. Thank you for making this video so I can always look back at it if I get stupid thoughts again. Sidenote, you should give Smurf the revamp it needs and make some more content with it, I still love it!!!

My dad owned a 68 and 64 1/2 mustangs. I've always loved the new classic look of the mustangs they are timeless and iconic cars. I love smurf. I love ford and what they done to showcase their talent and creativeness. Smurf will go down in history of the most popular mustangs ever.

I'm always blown away by how much whp you gained with low boost supercharger and full exhaust. Keep it up man.
check if your fuse box itself has internal grounds in addition to the main ground to the panel itself. Each fuse connects to a circuit with an internal ground for added safety in some cars, if you keep blowing fuses i would definitely look up if that is the case in your car.
Ford technician here, fuse is blowing because either the load(in this case the parking bulbs) are pulling more than 15amps or there is a short to ground on the power wires. Aftermarket led bulbs can cause this if he has them. Intermediate shorts are hard to find though.

Bas Tee Hell yes. I completely agree. 2011-12 when they released the coyote 5.0 into the newer body... those are gonna be rare classics in 50 years. And I think people will find them still attractive in 15-20+ years when everything is electric lol

Before doing the suspension, I think you should take smurf out onto an autocross. It would teach you a lot more about the car, and what really needs to be improved suspension wise.

Congrats on the 100k mark! I miss my s197 coyote. These cars have such a bullet proof engine imo. I feel ya on the ac though :) I have a 15 gt and for some reason the evap core went out at 23k miles. So disappointing. I’m in CA driving without ac while parts are on backorder for weeks (Im assuming its a common problem then). On the plus side it forces me to drive with the windows down so I can hear the v8 music lol. Keep up the vids...i’ve been a long time subscriber.

Nice to see this beast is still running great. For your running light issue, the same thing happened with my 15 and I took it to Ford and they were able to pin point what was causing the problem. I would suggest getting them to diagnose it.
Check the connecting assembly for lights. By the passenger foot panel. To the right. Just big white clips. It shorted out my running lights too. Took me 6 months and around $1000 worth of troubleshooting to find it myself lol. I hope you see my post dude.

I think what helps a channel alot is complete honesty. Street speed 717 is consistently transparent. He also never complains
My 2011 5.0 is a 127,000 and somewhat modified and still running strong! Accept that my AC also went out on me at about 100,000 it cost about 2,000 to fix but luckily it was still under warranty
I have a 3.7 with full suspension, (watts link included) and it is awesome. I recommend it for any s197 for sure if you want to handle better. Great video btw!
