Nope lg may be king of marketing with their lg class. Skny beat them outta their game ages ago. The sony a8h is by far a better tv. Lg only won because it has 2.1 feature and due to their markerting with the media the lg oled. The sony produces better picture quality than lg it has better color color volumen. I have seen both tvs and let me tell you Sony X1 ultimate is call the best processors for a reason. A least this year lg seems to be more competitive.
@@TheKwaze quantums gonna be waaaayyyy too limited. Unless you're making 100k a year i wouldn't recommend it. Its going to be the future but for its first couple years, which it probably won't even come out until late 2021 or 2022, it'll be wayyy too far out of a lot of people's pay grade. LG is definitely the way to go and that GX series is top of the line.
I have std deffinition films which suffer from Conpression Artifacts - those nasty dark swirls which plague black parts of the picture. Would these nasty swirls still show on a OLED TV?
@@ppmerong1938 Maybe I can Maybe i can't, yet if I did I wouldn't overpay for that crap let alone try to justify my shit overpriced tv like some people do (you) i would own up my bad buy and call it exactly how it is.
@@DC-sm3sr yes, it's worth every penny. It's not quite different from the C9 though, so if you find a cheaper C9, go for it. Although, the C9 doesn't support Freesync, which can be used if you have or plan to have an AMD graphics card equipped PC / Consoles like Xbox Series X and PS5 . Both support G-Sync so will work with an Nvidia graphics card equipped PC. There's no advantage in buying a more expensive E9 or GX, they are mainly for better aesthetic. If you want better audio, a sound bar will still be better and does not have to be very expensive. The Panasonic and Sony OLED TVs don't have the same advantage in cost as LG, as all OLED panels for TV are made by LG. This is why almost all OLED TVs of a generation have the same picture quality, with the defining characteristics being Smart OS capabilities, in built speakers and other features like G-Sync and 4k 120Hz which LG put has enabled in their TV, as long as you have an HDMI 2.1 source and cable.
Danyal Reyaz , whilst most of what you say is fairly accurate, not all of it is factual. I own 3 OLED TVs, an LG C8 from 2018, a Sony A9G from 2019,and a Panasonic HZ2000 from 2020. I can tell you from experience, the LG and Sony are almost identical in terms of picture quality. Most people I know who have 4-6 K to spend on an OLED aren’t buying them for gaming. They’re buying them for movies and Netflix 4K. The Panasonic is much better , much brighter and absolutely the pinnacle of OLED technology. Nothing to do with hdmi 2.1 . Everything to do with cinema
