  • As my Vel Satis is reaching 400.000km I've decided its time to replace its original dual mass flywheel. Driving it at low RPM caused car to shake and at stop lights I neede to hold down the clutch pedal to prevent rattling.
I've replaced DMF, clutch and pressure plate, clutch bearing, cranksaft seal, ARB bushings. I've installed original LUK DMF and clutch like it was in before.
In this video ive also removed EGR collector and cleaned it.
Also showing average fuel consumption after EGR clean. After 10k km without cleaning the EGR consumption goes up for around 0.2l

I so love the design of the Renault Vel Satis ... Would have been nice if Renault upgraded this vehicle and kept it in todays market ...

The 2.2 is an awesome engine. We have a Renault Master Ambulance in our fleet which hit 300k km months ago and it just keeps going. It drives 160km every day except Sundays. About to need a new clutch though.

If its service regulary its not a problematic engine. In Master I doubt that you have a 2.2dCi, more like 2.5dCi wich looks the same, just the engine block is bigger.

@@acecono Yes you are right, it's a 2.5 with 120 horsepower. I confused these two haha
