      This is not good advice apply the cologne directly to skin, it won’t work properly otherwise

    W advice 🔥. However isn't it suggested not to rub fragrances?

    • @pvp6077
      @pvp6077 Před 11 měsíci +14

      Dry rubbing is debated a lot because some people think it degrades the scent. In this case, you're blending 2 scents, and rubbing them into a product containing oil which absorbs and spreads the scents into your natural body oils, resulting in a very different scent profile.
      The cologne carries scent through alcohol, but oils actually carry and disperse scent better. Like spraying febreeze vs lighting a scented candle. Try both and tell me you don't feel the difference in your nostrils.

      That’s why you apply it to your moisturizing product of choice. It goes on your skin, not your clothes.

    • @pvp6077
      @pvp6077 Před 11 měsíci +4

      You moisturize and scent right out of the shower to keep your skin hydrated, let the product soak in and the scent settle.
      Then you continue shaving, fixing your hair etc, either in a towel or pants, maybe even the undershirt like he's got on, and finish getting dressed once you're fully dry and ready to go. You never want to put on a shirt while you're still damp or have greasy feeling product in a layer on top of the skin.
      In case you rarely moisturize, know that if your skin is really dry in might not soak in properly and feel kinda gross. I've heard a lot of friends complain about sunscreen for that reason. So again, moisturize when you come out of the shower, while you're still damp to lock in the hydration, then as you continue drying out you won't even feel it anymore. Your skin will just feel less tight and itchy.
      The reason why you rub the scent into the moisturizer is because the oils will hold onto the scent and it will gently exude out of your skin when you heat up. So it stays subtle, and you smell it most when you own body scent would have been wafting out instead.
      Compared to spraying the clothes, which make the cologne strong and sharp at first then fade away (which is why some guys spray way too much and it gets overpowering).
      And just as a note, you should moisturize your whole body, face and neck, with a basic lotion, whenever possible. I get most guys can't make the leap to "after every shower" right away, but you'll be shocked how much better your skin gets if you actually do this regularly. It actually helps prevent pimples and whatnot by keeping skin fresh enough to slough off layers instead of building up layers of dry, itchy, flaky skin that clog your pores and make pimples blow up.

    Incorrect. The friction when you rub is going to dissipate the fragrance which is mostly alcohol. If you want it to last longer, spray on clothing. I do directly to skin on the sides of my neck and my wrists. Never fails. Moisturizer is generally a good thing, but you dont need to combine fragrance with it at the same time

      @@italianbeefslayer pulse points like the wrists and neck give off more heat and in turn, give off stronger scent. There are other spots, but if someone wants to smell you, holding your wrist to their nose is a lot less creepy then having them smell the back of your knee

    at least call the fragrances by their name, armani code PARFUM, and ralphs club ELIXIR. There are multiple fragrances under the name "code" and "ralphs club". Also, not all fragrances will work together. Test and try them out. Also, just put lotion on your skin, let it settle and then spray.

      @@princesakat2098 it absolutely does not , especially Vaseline! You may think it does but depending on what fragrance your wearing , the fragrance, if it’s good and high in oil concentration will last just as long as long as your pores are open from a shower. An lotion 🧴might help… BUT NOT SCENTED lotion like dude has in this video 🤣 an if you really want your fragrance to LAST… you buy and layer your fragrance with ESCENTRIC MOLECULES 01 or ESCENTRIC MOLECULES 02. 01 contains ISO-E SUPER AND 02 contains AMBROXAN .
      Those 2 ingredients are in every bottle of Cologne or perfume made to make them last long. 01 and 02 by ESCENTRIC Molecules are just those ingredients by themselves in a bottle.
      That’s the absolute best way to improve the longevity of a fragrance.
      Not Vaseline or scented lotion!

    • @Mrncgntu
      @Mrncgntu Před 10 měsíci

      @@312Born-Bred it does. It creates a coating around the skin making it harder for the fragrance to be absorbed into the skin, thus making it last longer. (Because vaseline isn't absorbed into the skin as quickly as just fragrance)

      Also how is vaseline nasty?

    Budget version :
    Musc or Cotton(clean) + citrus or flowery (sweet) combo.
    Berdoues, an old french house, are top quality and $15/125ml.
    Don't use Vaseline, Petroleum with alcohol might get you some not so great skin reaction.
    Use neutral oil, like grape seed oil or Cerave Lotion.
