Hey Kevin Thanks for sorting out the dance tickets for me most grateful. Also just to let you know that I have sorted out the Disco outfit problem. I found a very nice lady who has sewn in a large spandex panel in the rear of my lesuire suit and bingo it fits like a glove over a chickens lip. I have to say that upon seeing how large the spandex panel is just go"s to show how much it had shrunk. I have also ordered a 5Ltr can of Industrial strengh jet black Just for men hair dye for a bit of a touch up in those little grey areas . The Spray tan is booked for Friday afternoon I have gone for the "Bronzed God Package" Alphonso the spray man said I will look breathtaking. I have also sent my teeth off to have them whitened I went for the George Hamilton "White Lightening" shade of white hope they are back in time mind you I did send them special delivery so should be ok. I dont know Kevin the things you do just to look good...............................Groove on Kevin.................TJ

Brilliant memories Anyone remember a pub called the pied piper too. Few beers their first a bite to eat at Sarasinos ( can't remember how it was spelt) then the rest of the night in scallywags. Superb. Thanks for the video
well Kev here we are Dday for the Scalleywags reunion. I have been in contact with care centre where Johnny Francis now resides and they have confirmed that he will be delivered to the venue at 7.30 this evening. He will be looked after by his carer Olaff who will bring a spare key for johnnys straight jacket, some incontinance pants, and a tazer. We will need to provide our own sack barrow to get him onto and from the stage. Olaff has kindly said that he will make sure that Johnny is pointing in the right direction at all times during his set he also said that its not a good idea to feed him before he goes on. I popped in and saw Johnny, he didnt have a clue who I was but seemed to like the red plastic microphone I bought for him from Poundland. Oh how we laughed as he dribbled all over the mic and tried to remember what came after ^one two one two" after about thirty minutes he remembered and we had "one two three" so well done Johnny and it just goes to show Kevin that you can teach old DJs new tricks. My teeth arrived back from the whitening shop and look great, They are a bit loose but I nipped out and bought a tube of the latest denture glue "Fixo Fang" and the jobs a goodn. I will see you at 1pm Kev Im off to rince the dye from my hair and trim the hair under my armpits as Im wearing a cap sleeved Tshirt tonight and at the moment I look like I have Bob Marley in a headlock !.......................................TJ
I can’t believe I’ve stumbled on this video my name is Paul and I’m 54 back in 77-79 I was in a boys home (Guestling house) and I remember a few of us use to try and get in lol 😂 and I think we got in once but most of the time we got knocked back!! So it was either the roller skating place off Bohemia rd which held a disco 💃 fri and sat which was our age group also we use to go to the disco underneath the hotel can’t remember the name but opposite the Carlisle pub that was in the era of Saturday night fever.in your first video the one with the original owners there was a half caste guy with Afro he looks like a d.j called cliff maylem and he d.j.d around the town he’s father was John maylem who owned the the children’s home can you put me right cheers great videos 👍
That was the strangest think ever stumbling across this,I met my wife there in 79,she was a student next door at what was then called Norman House College - although it was a very poor excuse for a college,but we did spend too much time in Scalliwags to worry about studying all that much ! It was on another level for those days, getting a cab down to Saturdays in the old town spend an hour there then back to scalliwags - bottles of Pils to wash down burger and chips in a basket - great memories
Hi Kevin it is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that I have to report that I will not be wearing my Red Velour disco leisure suit to the dance on Saturday evening. Whilst carrying out a full dress rehearsal I thought that I would atempt a triple 360 degree disco spin which I learnt at the Hastings based world famous Ron and Joyces disco dance studio back in the 70s (I just failed to get a bronze diploma) when going into the third spin my Tortoise who unknowing to me had been hybernating under my bed decided to wake up and when he came out from under my bed I triped over him and in the ensueing fall my lesiure suit disintigrated leaving just tatters of once a iconic piece of disco history. This could have been avoided as I had seen him under my bed but thought it was one of my Lidel familly sized Pork Pies that had rolled under the bed after I had been eating them for my supper the night before. So on Saturday night I shall be dressed like any ordinary Joe. Sorry Kevin but thats life PS The Tortoise is fine TJ
Hi Kevin I cannot beleive what has happend. When trying on my original Disco outfit which was last worn in 1979 at the Pink Coconut Club in North Cheam I discovered to my horror that it didnt fit. Trying to squeez into my one piece red velour leisure suit with my name emblazend in silver on the back proved to be imposable. This leads me to beleive that at sometime over the years an unknown person or persons have taken this stylish fashsion statement and washed it in very very hot water and it has shrunk. I am at this time searching Ebay worldwide trying to find a replacement garment of the same quality and impact. My Daughter even surgested that I had put on weight as she told me dad " You have more Chins than a chinese telephon book" but I dont see that. Well see you soon Kevin Im off to look in The Exchange and Mart retro section......Terry

it is called scalliwag but i dont remember who its by the owner of scalliwags nightclub had it given to him at emi when he visited there offices in london back in the 70s. im afraid thats all i can tell you apart from the fact they played it every night at the closing it was always the very last song

we were given the record by A friend of ours Simon Davis who worked at emi sad to say Simon passed away a few years ago from cancer
