２のタコは地上に出てきたばかりだから色々慣れてない感じがするけど３のタコは完全に馴染んで表情豊かになってるのがよい
言われてみれば同じタコなのに性格が真反対なの良いな
DLCで8号と新3号(タコ)の絡みとかあってほしい
そもそもバンカラ地方はイカタコが最初から共存してたはず

ハチのブキというより兵器を見るような仕草に慣れちゃって、3のタコが傘ぶん回したりイカよりテンション高く見えるのに凄く違和感ある
2のタコガール・タコボーイは地下出身(オクトのハチ)だからか所作がすごい大人びてるし、セクシーよね。
あとシューター試着時の「つい周りを警戒して、何事もなくため息をつく」っていう動きがまだ実験施設の癖が抜けきれてない感じがしてとてもよい
タコ自体がそもそもイカよりセクシーって感じがする
なんかイカは「元気ハツラツ！」
だけどタコは「真面目クール。」
って感じですよねどっちも大好きです。
実際公式設定でタコは真面目でいかは呑気って設定あるかんね

わざわざそのシリーズ代表する髪型、髪色、ギアでやってるのめっちゃ手間かかってて惚れちゃった…

I like how in 3, the octolings still inspect the weapons closely, but they seem to have come out of their shells a lot more and are more expressive and happy to play.
They always have these really dumb adorable smiles in 3, it's readily apparent how much they've changed.
That’s what I’m sayin so glad to see them actually express themselves and not be focused on military/past
Someone mentioned that in this region, the inklings and octolings were already coexisting
@@unibocchi Yes, this is the Splatlands, a semi-isolated portion to the Wastelands (Octoling territory) and Haven (Inkling territory), and the cephalopods here seem to be coexisting far before the other known territories.
@@conner4737 these are different octolings tho that weren't affected by the great turf war and Octavio because they lived in the splatlands

ハチはテンタクルズのワールドツアーに同行してて、DLCで一緒に帰ってくるとかだったらアツい。

in splatoon 2 the octolings all look really curious about the weapons. in splatoon 3 they seem to have adjusted and are just excited to be there.
It cats with the lore too. In splat2, our octolings only recently escaped from octarian society, which pretty much had them all be combat engineers. In splat3, enough time has passed for them to properly acclimate to surface society and leave their past behind
There could be 2 reasons why that is. One being spec ops for your entire life and then cutting loose after a while. Finally being able to take things easily. The other could simply be that a lot of civilians got to the surface after splatoon 2 who are just a bit different in nature.

イカは総じて手練れっぽい俊敏な動きをするのに対して、タコの方は全体的に動きがゆるめだったりニッコニコの笑顔が見えたりするね（ブキ試着時）
イカちゃん達はほうほう、なるほどね〜、みたいなね。タコはへぇ〜！！こんな感じなんだすごーい！！みたいなね！！
オクトリングって機械に強いらしいし多分車とか武器とか少年趣味なものが好きなんだと思う！それが地上で無邪気なまま成長したらあんなリアクションになるんかなぁって

I never realized how many animations were reused in 2 from the first game. I knew a bunch of stuff was reused or recycled in the sequel but never just how much of the game was reused. No wonder 3 feels like such a breath or fresh air.
Yeah splatoon 2 was them working fast to get a splatoon on the switch cause the Wii U bombed big time. I feel like splatoon 3 is what they wanted to do with 2 if they had much more time

@@jj8762 I don't mind there being no gender differences since ultimately the more gender neutral the series gets the better.
@@aahhai5532 I feel like it didn't have to be that way. I think considering they said "style", and the fact that clothes that change via the gender of the previous games, I don't think that really has to exclude style-exclusive animations. I think to make this better, while still providing fun animations, the style menu remains the same, but there's a third option for each species. The three options now depict "Are you masculine? Feminine? Or neutral?" This would fall more into the "style" and more how you act, rather than what gender you are. Then they ask "Let's hear your voice" and give the Boy or Girl, while also adding Neither voice. The style you chose will change how they act, granting two masucline and feminine animations in certain animations, while the neutral style is the animations we did get for Splatoon 3. This also would adjust the clothes that do change via gender, because let's be real the fact the two are separate, and thus you need to do double the grinding is gonna be some work.
@@jj8762 because then it relates to more people, helping those varying on the gender spectrum, binary or not, relate to the game better and feel represented and welcomed in a world where their expression is often dismissed. Especially in a game like splatoon where self-expression is such a big theme. A lot of people don’t really understand the “big deal” or importance of having less specifically gendered options in video games because your identity is already perfectly represented by one of those two options but its nice to be open and represent everyone even if you don’t personally relate or understand =)

This entire video is just a testament to how far they've come and how much time and dedication the Splatoon Dev team put into the details and expressions and subtle differences between the two species this time around. Absolutely wonderful.

I liked how much personality were in the inklings and octolings back in Splatoon 2. I feel it just got taken away a bit in Splatoon 3 and it’s not the best change personally

I do like how in Splatoon 2, the masculine inkling and octoling adjust the top of the shirt, it makes it so much more unique and a show of masculinity. I do enjoy the androgynous feel of Splatoon 3 when they look at the clothes/weapons

I didn't know that the octoling and inkling weapon inspecting reactions are different.
It's really cute too how the octoling were more calculating, serious & precise than inkling when they were inspecting the weapons on 2.
But then they really have fun even more than the inkling when inspecting on 3.
Oh, their silly grins in between, i really love them octolings. 🐙💛
The octoling girl on 2 were so cute when trying new clothes on. They look so cautious & innocent, really just baby trying new things. Like can i really wear this? Other than my uniform? Very endearing.
Also when trying head gear on 2 the male octoling were looking kind of sassy in a confident way, like they know they are good looking. (And they are). They were also very charismatic looking when they were trying on new clothes.
I think it's because in 2, the playable octolings were defectors from Octavio's regime who I imagine were still somewhat in soldier/survival mode and getting used to their environment. Meanwhile, 3's octolings are native to the splatlands and never had to deal with the stuff the inkadian octolings had to, so they're a lot goofier and more easy-going.
@@sacredeight ya, i'm just very happy & think it's very cute that octoling turn out to be more :D happy-go-lucky than said laid-back inklings, when they are let to be.
I also think that the Octos in Splat 2 are kinda confused, maybe they have a lil trauma cus the things they have gone trough to, for example while trying the weapons they know for what are they gonna use it trying the easier way to use it (not like the silly way of the Octos in 3 wich is kinda cute)
It's kinda adorable the clueless faces of Octos in 3 like, they're just chilling and having fun quiting the Serious reputation they have

In 1 and 2, the inklings are super lacking as far as expression goes. I'm glad they improved with playable octolings and Splatoon 3, now they are all very expressive and I love it.

am i the only person that really likes how the octolings look in splatoon 2? the skin tone looks more cooler toned and i think it looks really nice imo, yeah the inklings/octolings have more warmer skin tones in splatoon 3 cause its made a lot nicer (cant say the same for the servers rn) but i like the aesthetic of more cool-toned skin in the earlier games (even if it looks less life-like, but ppl irl do have cooler toned skin so i dont think it makes them look non realistic or anything)
