Hello and thank you for your fine reaction. This was the first song of a new TV show in russia. There are 9 weeks with 9 shows and 9 well knows artists. Diana is the youngest artist. They had to sing songs from 9 genres. The last TV show was on 20. november. The 9 artists are also the judges for the other singer. And Diana (18) won this competition. She shocked the other singers with the first song. The Crow is her masterpiece in this competition, in my opinion.

Yes, there WAS an experience in that, it's called the "Diana Experience" and you just got sideswiped by it Sir! 😂 Most reactors hearing Diana (18yo here!) singing for the first time have a great deal of difficulty explaining what they just heard! This young unique phenomenon has been performing since she learned to speak (literally!) Diana spent time in an orphanage from 3yo and was very traumatised, to the point where she spoke very poorly. A Voice Coach noticed (at 5yo) that she was a great singer and she had a perfect ear, the rest is history! This was only song #1 from 9 performances. Enjoyed your comments on her....the background is as extraordinary as the performer. At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment.
Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on CZcams. Two months ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of CZcams 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers.
Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. 9 winners of the previous shows 'The Mask', 'Superstar' and 'Du bist Super' take part in this new format and they have to sing in 9 categorys: Folk-Hit, Song at the End of the 20th Century, Soviet Song, Pop-Hit, Song of your Choice, New Music, Song from Cartoon or Film, Rock-Hit, Grammy
The man who jumps up is the famous opera singer Yusif Eyvazov and husband of the world-well known opera singer Anna Netrebko. He is a guest of honor and representative of the operatic genre in this first episode of the competition.
Those competitors have to evaluate each other and they have praised Diana in the highest tones: “Diana has no competition on the show, she amazes with her talent, it is impossible to tear yourself away from her, you want to listen endlessly, they have tears in their eyes and are even afraid to blink”.

This was from a show where the singer has to perform a different genre every week for nine weeks. This is Diana’s (Dee-an-ah) first performance. She blew everyone away! Diana has been performing since she was five. She started early with singing lessons to help with her very poor speech. The rest is history. She is a true contralto, the lowest female singing voice. She has been working on her upper register since puberty. Her main genre’s at the moment are Pop/folk and Rock.
She is currently attending GITIS, the oldest and one of the best performing arts schools in Russia.
On Dec 8th she is releasing her debut album which was completely crowd funded by her fans worldwide.

Diana was born in May 2003 in the Far East of Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she did not love her child, cruelly abused it and tried to drown it. Relatives found the child with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to an orphanage. There she finally found love ... from Irina Ponik, a massagetherapist. Taking a young child into the family was not easy for Irina. Your son was already 20 years old, daughter Nastya 17 years old ... Now start all over again? Yes!!! Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared but she all sing songs from cartoons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started ...
During 2008 to 2012 Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions.
Her mother, Irina Ponik, turned her whole life inside out and started all over with a new motherhood and many new professions - seamstress, manager, vblogger… admirable. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances, competitions, looking for sponsors is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She took extra sewing courses too. Since then, she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary. It is admirable how she promotes her daughter's career, teaching her how to fly but makes sure that she is down to earth Remains.
Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win.
So, 2012 Irina’s family moved to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her.
In 2017 Diana went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. A door had closed but a new door opened...
Diana entered another competition in 2018 and 2019 and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to CZcams and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship. Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a 37m²/398,26 ft² small apartment in Moscow. There she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in Oct. 2020).
Dimash Qudaibergen is the universe, but Diana is the earth, our home... and when you hear her voice, you feel like she has wrapped you in a warm velvet blanket and served you a mug of hot, dark chocolate. Diana has something unique, mystical, but also sensitive, sensual in her voice ... unmistakably feminine. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice (her range C3-E6). Diana's voice sometimes has a polyphonic undertone = subharmonic. This means: the vocal cords and folds around the vocal apparatus vibrate and the tone is modulated to produce sounds that are below the sington. Diana also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl.
But she is not only a great singer and storyteller. She lives her songs but also she looks beautiful and she is a humble, intelligent and hardworking young woman. She also gives charity concerts. She loves her family and her fans. They are 'Friends' to her and they are very supportive of her. Diana is grateful that they helped improve her home studio and also supported her future plans (first album). Her Russian Friends have chosen Diana as "National Treasure". I think, she is our “Earth Treasure”.
The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. She has mastered this time very professionally and has worked hard to bring back the lost high notes and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 to E6. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stile… tradition meets modernity.
She loves to sing in French, but also sings in English, German, Arabic and Spanish... but only phonetically. She plays the piano and ukulele.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier, applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy ... and now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts (Juilliard similar to GITIS). She is already composing songs and we will definitely hear her own work soon.
As her late voice teacher said, Diana only takes part in competitions if she is invited. Such competitions require a great deal of time, effort, and strength. Diana is a smart young woman. She focuses on her studies, her voice and expanding her repertoire.
In October 2021 she was invited to her first adult contest on Russian television 'The ShowMaskGoOn'. She won!!!
Diana's first album will be released in December 2021.
