But I assume schools may have dress codes, and they do live in NY if I remember correctly. The nanny had permission to dislipline and order them about so she did have a right and she probably cared for the children more than their parents. Idk I don't recall seeing many episodes where the parents actually interact with the children. So 15-17 or not, she's still a child and should listen to her guardian.

I remember this episode. I was a teen at the time as well. I didn't dress like that but I understood what she was going through. Being a teenage girl is so frustrating. You start feeling a certain way about yourself and others and when you try to express yourself, you get punished.

@@jeffisjeff5511 a brastrap showing or shorts that arent fingertip length isn't the end of the world, schools be acting like a shoulder is the sexiest thing on the planet 💀 sure certain inappropriate clothes should be dress coded but in my experience in public schools, they abuse their power with it.
@@Forbidden_Snacc they dont do it because of that. There are many other reasons and dome of those reasons aren’t even there. Also the parents are the ones who enforce the dress code.
She wasn’t being punished for trying to express herself. I believe it was because Emma was only 13-14 around that time and she didn’t want Emma to grow up to fast or try to be like everyone else. And Jessie probably just felt like it wasn’t appropriate for an 13-14 year old. Which I know it’s not really a big deal but I think she just didn’t feel like Emma was being true to herself and didn’t like that she was wearing less at such an young age? I mean, I don’t know how I feel about the outfit but I understand Jessie’s point in ways.
She should have changed but not bc it’s “revealing” bc thats the ugliest crop top I’ve ever seen
That crop top isnt even ugly. Also she can literally wear whatever. As long as it’s not at work though if she ever works.
